Re: Dal Fry

^ yaa phir internet ke aagay dal nahi gali :D

Re: Dal Fry

Daal fry...I got his concept...first soak the daal and then simply fry it adding the spices to your taste...bingo... :)

Re: Dal Fry

if u fry daal....wont it stay kacha?

Re: Dal Fry

^ and, won't the daal be crunchy? :-|

Re: Dal Fry

why can't u soak the daal, rub like a tsp of oil over the daal, sprinkle some masala and then bake it?

Re: Dal Fry

baked daal :hmmm:
it’d still be crunchy!

Re: Dal Fry

isn’t it meant to be crunchy? :aq:

Re: Dal Fry

ur supposed 2 boil the daal with like haldi and lassan etc....then u do a "tarka", where u fry the boiled daal in a pyaas-oil-spice mixuture.....thats it really!...BTW....i'm talkin about channay ki daal, not maa ki daal etc.

Re: Dal Fry

really? i’ve never had crunch daal
i thought it was always like in a salan format :stuck_out_tongue:
like channay ki daal with saaday chawal yum

Re: Dal Fry

ewwwwww crunchy daal?

Re: Dal Fry

lolz...dal fry is not crispy or crunchy or chewy dal nor you deep fry it :D... it is cooked kind of like white dal (mash kee dal) in a masala of ginger/garlic+onion+tomatoes. It is not like a dal soup therefore it is called dal fry.

Re: Dal Fry

^^ Exactly… :k:

Re: Dal Fry

oh ic..hmmm nvr tasted it before.

Re: Dal Fry

Fried daal is never crunchy if u know what frying does to it the way sub-continental cuisines are cooked...
