Narrated Abdullah ibn Shafeeq who reported from Muhjin ibn Adraa who reported that the Prophet(saw) said, "The End/finish/khalaas day, and What do you know what the khalaas days is–the prophet repeats the same statement 3 times.Some one asked him, “what is the day of Khalaas?”. The Prophet then answered, "The Dajjal will come and will climb and will see Madina and then he will say to his companions, “Do you see that White Palace?That is the Mosque of Ahmad–another name of Prophet Muhammad–”,

The Messenger of Allah SallAllahu alaihi wasallam once addressed the people saying: “The Day of Deliverance, what is the Day of Deliverance!” and repeating it thrice. He was asked: “What is the Day of Deliverance?” He said: “The Dajjal (The Imposter of the End of Time) will come, climb on top of Jabal Habshi, look at Madinah, and say to his Companions: Do you see this white palace? This is the mosque of Ahmad. Then he will approach Madinah only to find on each path an angel with drawn sword. He will reach the wasteland of Al-Jurf and make camp. Madinah will then shake thrice and no hypocrite man or woman, nor corrupt man or woman will fail to go out to join him. This is the Day of Deliverance!” (Ahadith about the signs of The Hour, Mustafa Al-Adawi)

My question abotu dajaal is, why is not there single ayat in quran nor any reliable hadess about dajaal?

why does the Quran not mention him by name and warn us against his lies and stubbornness?
The answer is:-

  1. The Dajjal was referred to in the Ayah: “… The day that certain of the signs of thy Lord do come, no good will it do to a soul to believe in them then, if it believed not before nor earned righteousness through its Faith…” (al-Anam 6:158) Abu Hurairah said, “The Prophet (sallallahu alayhe wa sallam) said, 'There are three things which, when they appear, no good will it do a soul to believe in them then, if it believed not before nor earned righteousness through its Faith. They are: The Dajjal, the Beast, and the rising of the sun from the west.”

  2. Jesus son of Mary will descend from Heaven and kill the Dajjal, as we have already mentioned. The descent of Jesus is mentioned in the Ayat: “That they said (in boast), 'We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Apostle of Allah; - but they killed him not nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:- Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is exalted in Power,Wise;- And there is none of the People of the Book but must believe in him before his death; and on the Day of Judgment, he will be a witness against them.”(al-Nisa 4:157-9)

We think that the Tafsir (interpretation) of this Ayah is that the pronoun in “before his death” (qabla mawtihi) refers to Jesus; i e, he will
descend and the People of the Book who differed concerning him will
believe in him. The Christians claimed that he was divine, while the Jews
made a slanderous accusation, i e that he was born from adultery. When
Jesus descends before the Day of Judgment, he will correct all these
differences and lies

. 3. The Dajjal is not mentioned by name in the Quran because he is so insignificant: he claims to be divine, but he is merely a human being. His affairs are too contemptible to be mentioned in the Quran. But the Prophets, out of loyalty to Allah, warned their people about the Dajjal and the tribulations and misguiding miracles he would bring. It is enough for us to know the reports of the Prophets and the many reports from the Prophet Mohammad (sallallahu alayhe wa sallam).

One could argue that Allah has mentioned Pharaoh and his false claims,such as “I am your Lord, Most High” (al-Naziat 79:24) and “O Chiefs! No god do I know for you but myself …” (al-Qasas 28:38), in the Quran. This can be explained by the fact that Pharaoh and his deeds are in the past,and his lies are clear to every believer. But the Dajjal is yet to come,in the future; it will be a Fitnah and a test for all people. So the Dajjal is not mentioned in the Qur’an because he is contemptible; and the fact that he is not mentioned means that it will be a great test. The facts about the Dajjal and his lies are obvious and do not need further emphasis. This is often the case when something is very clear.

For example, when the Prophet (sallallahu alayhe wa sallam) was terminally ill, he wanted to write a document confirming that Abu Bakr would be the Khalifah after him. Then he abandoned this idea, and said, “Allah and thebelievers will not accept anyone other than Abu Bakr.”

He decided not to write the document because he knew of Abu Bakr’s high standing among the Sahabah (Companions) and was sure that they would not choose anyone else.Similarly, the facts about the Dajjal are so clear that they did not need to be mentioned in the Qur’an. Allah did not mention the Dajjal in the Quran because He (subhanahu wata’ala) knew that the Dajjal would not be able to lead His true servantsastray; he would only increase their faith, their submission to Allah and His Messenger, their belief in the Truth, and their rejection of falsehood. For this reason the believer whom the Dajjal overpowers will say, when he revives him, “By Allah, it has only increased my understanding that you are the one-eyed liar about whom the Prophet(sallallahu alayhe wa sallam) spoke.”

Thats exactly my point is, Dajaal kisi shakhs ka naam nahi hay, balkay yeh eak Theory hay, eak zamanay ka bayaan hay, kay jab yeh zamaana aye tu qayaamat qareeb hay.. agr yeh koy shakhsiyat hoti tu iss ka zikr zaroor hota, now the case is, are we living in the Dajaal era? ya kya yeh era start ho chuka hay ya start honay wala hay? is not to kab tak aisay zamnay kay aanay key umeed hay?

Well, above post is not saying that dajjal is not a shakhs. I don't know where did you get it from. There are many ahadith regarding attributes of dajjal as a man. For example, dajjal will be son of a jew, and dajjal's description and then Isa(AS) will kill dajjal. Also dajjal will claim to be a prophet and then will claim to be God.

But before the appearance of Dajjal, his followers will establish a society and system for him. I think we are living in dajjalic zamana and dajjalic system.

Can u quote those ahadees, and while doing so, u may notice none of them are MUTAWATIR, niether sahi bukhari aur sahi muslim have anything to say on this nor quran have said anything about it.

the quranic ref. mentioned above are not clear, they are pointing to an era where a particular behaviour will be developed.. and not about that a particular person will be born and he will bring that behaviour.

things to do now is:
please try to post a hadith clearly talking about dajaal from Bukhari or Muslim.

1) Eak bari tadaad maiN log uss per iman lay aayaiN gay
2) yahoodiyooN maiN say hoga ya un ka himayat yafta hoga
3) maar daynay ya zinda ker daynay ki salahiyaat rakhta hoga.

and if u look around all of above powers are in MONEY.

1)everyone worship him ( including muslims),
2) is controlled by the jews
3) have power to give or take life.

Sahih Bukhari *Volume 3, Book 30, Number 106: *

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:

Allah's Apostle told us a long narrative about Ad-Dajjal, and among the many things he mentioned, was his saying, "Ad-Dajjal will come and it will be forbidden for him to pass through the entrances of Medina. He will land in some of the salty barren areas (outside) Medina; on that day the best man or one of the best men will come up to him and say, 'I testify that you are the same Dajjal whose description was given to us by Allah's Apostle .' Ad-Dajjal will say to the people, 'If I kill this man and bring him back to life again, will you doubt my claim?' They will say, 'No.' Then Ad-Dajjal will kill that man and bring him back to life. That man will say, 'Now I know your reality better than before.' Ad-Dajjal will say, 'I want to kill him but I cannot.' "

**Hadith - Bukhari 9.241, Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar **
Allah's Apostle stood up amongst the people and then praised and glorified Allah as He deserved and then he mentioned Ad-Dajjal, saying, "I warn you of him, and there was no prophet but warned his followers of him; but I will tell you something about him which no prophet has told his followers: Ad-Dajjal is one-eyed whereas Allah is not."

**Hadith - Bukhari 9.504, Narrated Abdullah **
**** Ad-Dajjal was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet . The Prophet said, "Allah is not hidden from you; He is not one-eyed," and pointed with his hand towards his eye, adding, "While Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal is blind in the right eye and his eye looks like a protruding grape."

**Hadith - Bukhari 9.245, Narrated Anas **The Prophet said, "No prophet was sent but that he warned his followers against the one-eyed liar (Ad-Dajjal). Beware! He is blind in one eye, and your Lord is not so, and there will be written between his (Ad-Dajjal's) eyes (the word) Kafir (i.e., disbeliever)." (This Hadith is also quoted by Abu Huraira and Ibn 'Abbas).

Many Hadiths have given a clear description as to Jesus’ appearance. Imam Bukhari(d.256/834)and Imam Muslim have narrated that the Messenger of Allah (sallalahu alayhi wasallam) said*,*
"While I was sleeping, I saw myself (in a dream), performing Tawaf (circumambulation of the House of God in Makkah). I saw a reddish-white man with lank hair, with water dripping from his head, I asked, "Who is this?" They replied, "The Son of Maryam (Mary)." Then I turned my face to see another man with a huge body, red complexion, curly hair and blind in one eye. His eye looked like a protruding grape. They said to me, "He is Dajjal." The prophet added, "The man he resembled the most is Ibn Qatan, a man from the tribe of Khuza’a."

Thats true...dajjal is not mention in this ayah or in any other ayah by name........but if you read again,
1. The Dajjal was referred to in the Ayah: "... quite a week-end i had. (enough fun,Lets get back to topic.)

So lets Start from Start,

App kehtay haiN kay Dajaal eak person hoga jis kay makhsoos khad.o.khaal hooNgay. Makhsoos afkaar hongay...

Me says, Dajaal eak theory hay, eak nazriya eak nizaam, ju kay implement hoga, and like every system has a head-figure, iss system ka bhi koy head figure zaroor hoga...

Now i think we both agree to this point kay, Issi Kufria nizaam key khilaaf MuslmaanooN aur KafirooN maiN laRayiaaN hongee jis kay faislay.kun ma'arkay maiN Hazrat Essa (AS) ka nazool hoga. aur jaisay kay quran ka wada hay kay aakhri fataah hamesha haq key hi hogee.

Takoon kay do zawiya tu bayaan ker diya, now lets talk on the third one, Imam Mehdi, In kay baray maiN kaha jata hay kay he will also fight against Kufaar, yeh MuslmanooN kay intay'ha'ee zawal kay dinooN maiN Muslim Qayadat bo "ba-mushkil" qabool karaiN gay and then a series of war will be fought where the last battle is where ANTI-CHRIST will be defeated and killed.

Now All the three characters have one thing in common, they will come and implement their system.

My question is What muslims Suppose to do till that time comes? should they like jews accept the slavery of Pharohs for 300/400 years, till PROMISED one comes?

Good, Mehmood of Ghaznavi, Sultan Salahuddin, Sultan Baybris, Sultan Malik Shah, Sultan Mohammad Fateh, Tariq Bin Zayad yeh sab above falsfay kay hi pero'kar thay, they un kay amal un key iman key gawahi daytay haiN... So Should we be like them aur should we be like Jews like Illama Iqbal says

Thay tu woh aba tumharay , tum kya ho
Haath per haath dharay muntazir-e-farda ho.

and one more occasion he says ( cant remember the exact wording)
howi jis key khudi pehlay baidar
wohi mehdi wohi imam-e-zaman
(will confirm this tommorrow)

Now lets look on the other side, say we have to wait till Imam Mehdi comes out or Hazrat Essa (AS) comes. what will happen to those who die in that process? woh Allah ta'la say kya hujt karaiN gay? kay ham nay Teray deen kay liya kyoN kaam nahi kya? why didn't we Implemented Salat as he ordered???
is this answer sufficient that we were waiting? or that we thought that nothing is going to work because Imam Mehdi will come and defeat the system and or Dajjal???

Lets set the difference of Dajjal aside for time being and discuss above, i ll come to your ahadees as well.. but before we do that lets solve this myth!!!

I never said the we should sit and wait for dajjal and Imam mahdi.......

But we need to understand the period of time we are living in according to the Quran and ahadith.

Yes i agree u never did, but believe me when i said "you" it was the todays muslim society whom i am pointing out, which include both of us.

as i said in my earlier post, the story/era of dajjal can never be completed without Imam Mehdi and Hazrat Essa (AS). yet if we look back in deep in history, "Her Fir'on kay liya eak Moosa hota hay", looks true, every time and i mean every time. and so is the case of Dajjal we are speaking of.

U are rite, Most of the Muslims don't know about these, but they have general preception about dajaal and Imam Mehdi that Muslims will get RISE when Imam Mehdi will come and kill Dajjal. thats why Iqbal said , " Hath per haath dhray muntazir-e-farda ho".

dr.asal mujhay qayamat kay din iss taraah bulaya jana zyada pasand hay," KahaaN hay Amer, ju doubtful information per "hath uTha ker nachna shoroo ho jata tha",

bj'aye iss kay kay kahaan hay woh Amer, ju doubtfull information per bhi khamosh rehta tha kay kay kaheeN log ussay condemn na karaiN.
