Can we gain/loose weight by taking these daily vitamin pills?
these vitamins do help in improving our metabolism / energy level.
basically, i have not been eating right these days, hence not getting all of daily nutrients.my doctor recommended me these daily vitamins but i really don’t wanna gain any extra weight by taking these things.
i do exercise but not until im red in the face, run for 20-25 mins or until im tired on the treadmill. & im pretty active throughout the day.
vitamins are very important for your body. those are nothing but minerals and other organic molecules. you need vitamins because they are essential building blocks for your enzymes, and you know how imporant enzymes are for your body. if you haven’t been eating properly, then you need the supplements, because you need your body to work optimally.
I know you think that my question is stupid
but many girls take these vitamins to gain weight, and i personally knew someone who was underweight & took these to gain weight.
maybe there are types of vitamins. like diet vitamins, or so?
Its a misnomer that vitamins are taken to GAIN weight or to Lose weight. Vitamins, as khumzi explained, are part of natural growth and must be included in our daily nutritions. Deficiency of any vitamin [water or fat soluble] can lead to many problems in your body.
Water soluble vitamins found in our body as used for biochemical pathways in building up proteins/fat/dna/rna etc etc. Water soluble vitamins, such as Vitamine C or B - get secreted out of ur water thru urin - thats y not much of toxicity.
Fat soluble are A, D E, K which have to get absorb in our gut in order to supply our body and are essential for body parts as Eyes, bones, skin, cartilage, collagen, coagulation factors etc etc.
Your friend is taking vitamin to have the balance amount of them in her body - not to gain weight. It helpps grow ur body not weight
I remember once I was taking my vitamins at work, and this old Hispanic lady who was friendly with me told me that they make you gain weight. It's a myth as far as I can tell. However, you should avoid taking them a lot. Too much of a good thing can also be harmful, therefore, try balancing your food and that would help you more.
