InshaAllah soon Ramadan will be upon us again. InshaAllah. A hasan hadeeth states that Ramadan is split into the three thirds.
The first ten days are for receiving the Mercy of Allah (SWT), the second ten days for Forgiveness and the last ten days for the freedom of Jahanum.
Seeking the Mercy of Allah (SWT)
There is only one message here. Allah (SWT) has given us a beautiful body and a beautiful world. We owe it to our sense to work. Likewise we owe it to our sense that deal with family members in an amicale manner.
Let’s all do many many Astighfirullahs for the first ten days bros, and make sure you are being proactive, so lets stop arguing for one month at least.
Please put your motivating lines here and narrate what you did on a daily basis during Ramadaan this year. InshaAllah life and time permitting we will include the second ten and in turn the last ten days.

Do u know the special dua u recite for each sep 10 days?
would u mind sharing, please.
thanks
May Allah swt accept all our fasts, and give us a easy Ramadan inshAllah.
Ramadan is a time where we should utilize every moment, every second to please our lord. If we have to go through inconveniences, SO BE IT! Our Lord is not asking us much!
[quote]
Neglect not your time, nor use it haphazardly; on the contrary you should bring yourself to account. Structure your litanies and other practices during each day and night. This is how to bring about the spiritual blessing (baraka) in each period. If each of your breaths is a priceless jewel, Be not like the deceived fools who are joyous because each day their wealth increases while their life grows ever shorter.
*- abu Hamid al-Ghazali [in 'Bidayat ul-Hidaya'] *
First day was harder to rise out of bed and cook food for sahur. The urges tell me to stop and go back to bed, wait for fajr. But I say to my nufs “No … come fajr then I cannot eat nor drink
… do you want to stay hungry and thirsty for the day or sleep now?” then my nufs submits unwillingly.
A few days on … I realise my prayers are becoming easier to concentrate in. Shaitan is truly locked up and his effect Alhumdulillah is wearing thin. This is an opportunity that cannot be missed. Slight inclinations flush in me to stop at the fard … but I say “No … the sunnah … I need them if I made any mistake in my fard … I remind my nufs of the blessing of this month … not to lose the opportunity” and my nufs submits unwillingly again …
JazakAllah khair everyone for beautiful reminders. We need to realize that during ramadan our deeds are multiplied many times, whether good or bad. The more we are careful, the more we would be able to achieve blessings of Allah (s.w.t) by HIS grace and mercy (InshaAllah) in this blessed month.
Narrated An-Nu'man bin Bashir:
The Prophet said, "The example of the person abiding by Allah's order and restrictions in comparison to those who violate them is like the example of those persons who drew lots for their seats in a boat. Some of them got seats in the upper part, and the others in the lower. When the latter needed water, they had to go up to bring water (and that troubled the others), so they said, 'Let us make a hole in our share of the ship (and get water) saving those who are above us from troubling them. So, if the people in the upper part left the others do what they had suggested, all the people of the ship would be destroyed, but if they prevented them, both parties would be safe." Bukhari
This is about the people who are (of the upper deck) closer to Allah (ie, praying, fasting, knowing difference between halal/haram, following the straight path..etc) and the people who are opposite (of the lower deck).
It is the job of the upper deck people to help the lower deck people by inviting them to the straight path.. So we must not think that we are higher than the other people, we must not think that yes I go to masjid and that's what counts, we have to go out and invite others to join good! If the people of the upper deck do not do this, the people of the lower deck will help in the destruction of BOTH parties (ie sinking the ship). So thinnk of this world as a ship, we have to sail together and there is no way we can part ways, so help the ones in the lower deck. BUT never think your above anyone in anything, for Allah alone knows how He can transfer people from upper to lower and lower to upper.. that was a reminder from our Shaykh tonight. .
Ramadaan is distinguished from the other months by a number of characteristics and virtues, including the following:
1 – Allaah has made fasting this month the fourth pillar of Islam, as He says (interpretation of the meaning):
and it was narrated in al-Saheehayn (al-Bukhaari, 8; Muslim, 16) from the hadeeth of Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
2 – Allaah revealed the Qur’aan in this month, as He says in the verse quoted above (interpretation of the meaning):
And Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
3 – Allaah has made Laylat al-Qadr in this month, which is better than a thousand months, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
Allaah has blessed Ramadaan with Laylat al-Qadr. Explaining the great status of this blessed night, Soorat al-Qadr was revealed, and there are many ahaadeeth which also speak of that, such as the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
And Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said:
4 – Allaah has made fasting Ramadaan and spending its nights in prayer out of faith and in the hope of reward a means of forgiveness of sins, as was proven in al-Saheehayn (al-Bukhaari, 2014; Muslim, 760) from the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah according to which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
And al-Bukhaari (2008) and Muslim (174) also narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
5 – In this month, Allaah opens the gates of Paradise and closes the gates of Hell, and chains up the devils, as is stated in al-Saheehayn (al-Bukhaari, 1898; Muslim, 1079), from the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah who said that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
6 – Every night Allaah has people whom He redeems from the Fire. Imam Ahmad (5/256) narrated from the hadeeth of Abu Umaamah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
Al-Bazzaar (Kashf 962) narrated that Abu Sa’eed said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
7 – Fasting Ramadaan is a means of expiation for the sins committed since the previous Ramadaan, so long as one avoids major sins. It was proven in Saheeh Muslim (233) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
8 – Fasting in Ramadaan is equivalent to fasting ten months, as is indicated by the hadeeth in Saheeh Muslim (1164) narrated from Abu Ayyoob al-Ansaari:
Ahmad (21906) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
9 – Whoever prays qiyaam in Ramadaan with the imam until he finishes, it will be recorded for him that he spent the whole night in prayer, because of the report narrated by Abu Dawood (1370) and others from the hadeeth of Abu Dharr (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
10 – ‘Umrah in Ramadaan is equivalent to Hajj. Al-Bukhaari (1782) and Muslim (1256) narrated that Ibn ‘Abbaas said:
11 – It is Sunnah to observe i’tikaaf (retreat for the purpose of worship) in Ramadaan, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) always did that, as it was narrated in the hadeeth of ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her)
12 – It is mustahabb in the sense of being strongly recommended in Ramadaan to study the Qur’aan together and to read it a great deal. You may study the Qur’aan together by reciting it to someone else and by having someone else recite it to you. T
Reading Qur’aaan is mustahabb in general, but more so in Ramadaan.
13 – It is mustahabb in Ramadaan to offer iftaar to those who are fasting, because of the hadeeth of Zayd ibn Khaalid al-Juhani (may Allaah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
The most important part of Ramadan is about to arrive. We still have time to make amendments for our carelessness in the days that have passed. Time to say good bye to less important activities for only 10 days. If we miss "Ibadah" in the last ten days, we would have to wait for another 11 months or may be forever if next ramadan is not in our fate. I know a person younger to me who had never imagined that the Ramadan of 2008 would arrive after his sudden death through an accident. May Allah forgive his soul and bless him with the highest degree in Jannah.
Allah knows how long we would live, let us not make any mistake which (Allah forbid) we might have to repent forever. May Allah (s.w.t) bless us with the wisdom and strength to make full use of the last "Ashra" of Ramadan which might also be the last ramadan of our life.
I knew this guy aged 18 who passed away 2 nights before Ramadan in a car accident! May Allah have forgive this young man..
subhanallah, just last week we lost another brother.
Death should be the TOPIC of the day! For you never know, when you might be next! Angel of death will not send an invitation. The angel of death will not wait for your Ramadan to finish! Donèt look at the future, you dont know if u even have a future! Look at the now and always have in mind to die while doing a good deed, because thats how you will be resurrected on the day of judgement, imagine, in prayer, zikr, hajj, fasting, giving charity! How great would that be when you are brought up in front of the LORD!
some people die in the state of SIN!
true stories, people while dying are told to say LA ILAHA ILALLAH! But no! Shaytan has seized their hearts! They only recite the words of the hypocrites! Will you be the one huming a song when your ressurected!
^ Well said brother. JazakAllah khair for sharing.
If we only concentrate on the nights of these 10 days, inshaAllah we would achieve "Shab-e-Qadr" which is more valuable then the whole world and everything in it. Imagine if we were offered 1000000 billion dollars to do ibadah in the last 10 nights, which is nothing compared to what Allah (s.w.t) is offering us. Subhan'Allah !
