when i go to school i wear light concealer and light powder and some eyeliner…is it too much for a day out? should i ditch the mascara and go for a lighter look? sometimes i feel like i wear too much make up for everyday purposes…

if you wanna go lighter, ditch the eyeliner and use just the mascara instead.

i think its fine for school. its a nice, natural look and it doesn't take long. when i was in school i used the same..concealer, powder, mascara, and eyeliner. i don't like to wear too much anyways and it was quick! sometimes you can even get away with just powder and mascara, mostly when i was running late :)

I'd use a brown eye-pencil and drop the mascara..

i think mascara is the one thing that opens up your eyes and makes you look awake. liner without mascara just looks unfinished in my opinion.

but its the easiest to wear and I would agree it makes a huge difference..it really opens up your eyes. but i have seen usually girls in pak dont wear mascara on a daily basis, its usualy eyeliner. but I think girls over her go for mascara first. But then again its just my observation and I could be totally wrong.

Anyways, in the mornings, I would just wear mascara and a lipcolor and I just need 3 mins for that.

^^ lol, well i dunno. i don't know anyone who doesn't wear mascara, even if they're not wearing any other makeup. it depends what you use anyway - a lot of mascaras are just too much for everyday wear, unless you are wearing a lot of makeup.

Stoppit, dunno if u'd blv me..but mascara is my LEAST fav makeup item lol.. and i've seen girls wear it all the time.. even alone sans makeup but they sneak in mascara! I use it maybe 2 times a year!

yea i agree - maybe it is just a different trend here. i feel that mascara, even just on the outer third lashes opens up the eyes as it lifts the lashes up and out.
lol, i don't think you would see any woman on the underground the mornings without at least mascara. i think most non-asian women don't include eyeliner in their daily makeup.

I agree..i should ditch the mascara..it makes my make up feel "heavy"...but i do need to wear the concealer for blemishes and powder for cover up..it not at all caked...it looks pretty natural. and for eyeliner..i cant live without it! im not talking crazy avril lavigne eyeliner..but a thin line on top of my eyelids and a thin line below my eyelids...no lisptick..i wear chapstick :)

maybe try a clear mascara? i think it looks nice to have neat lashes. mine are long and after i've had a shower in the morning they are all criss-crossed and look messy.

Eyeliner or kajal can make it look like you have a lot of makeup on. Try doing just mascara on the eyes and powder foundation seems fine since it's sheer.

A good alternative to mascara is using an eyelash curler. It makes a huuuggge difference and really lights up your eyes without the mascara gunk look.

If you do not want to use a coloured mascara, use clear mascara. Really opens up the eye. Teamed with a little powder over your face, you will have thay natural look. On those days you want to jazz up your look a bit, add eyeliner!

trust me wen i say this stick to mascara & minimal make up! i started wearing eyeliner wen i was doing my GCSE's and have been wearing it since... it luks good but ppl get used to seeing u with it on so days wen i dont wear it im always asked ques like 'have u been crying' or 'r u reli tired' lol

i envy girls who luk gorjus without make up but its how u start, anything that is quick, easy & luks good & natural is wot u shud go for xx

stoppit, I have very thick lashes Mashallah.. but it just makes them feel heavy and I dunno. I wud'nt wear mascara for the day/school I might just use a curler..

For school I used to wear a tinted moisturizer and blush..

Snap, the same with me. I have long but very straight eyelashes and the best thing for them is an eyelash curler. I have been using it since school days and it really opens up the eyes, without the risk of me getting panda eyes.

well when i was in high school, i never used to wear mascara but people were always asking me if i did, as like you i have long and full lashes. it was when i did actually start wearing it on the odd occasion later that i realised what a difference it makes to me and started wearing it everyday. i guess it just depends on what you get used to - as aishii said, i look feel i look like i have sleepy eyes without it!
