A lot has been said by both sides regarding this article. Some points need to be made to clarify the confusion.
This article is not a piece of investigative journalism. This is a piece reporting the government’s case against some members of Shahbaz Sharif’s family.
The reporter talks to government officials. He has been given access to witnesses under government custody. He has been shown evidence in possession of the government.
He also reports the denial by an accused family member. But, he has not carried out any investigation on his own to corroborate or question the government’s case.
The government’s case may have merit. That needs to be established in court.
The government is at fault here in using the Daily Mail to carry out propaganda regarding a sub-judice matter and trying to spin it as an independent confirmation of its stance.

At some point it’'ll be revealed how much money govt gave daily mail to publish this story. I dont know for how long this govt will keep making these cheap shots. Only at their own loss.
would be better if they prove these allegations in the court of law… and let me tell you if shahbaz gets convicted, it will be the end of the opposition since zardari, nawaz are already in jail and maryam, bilawal have no first hand experience in politics.
Nothing is stopping Shahbaz sharif and Nawaz’s two sons in UK to file a libel lawsuit against this publication. They have the means and money (however ill-gained) to do that.
**Well actually the rumor mill in Pakistan i.e. PTV and other channels state that those who are in Custody are wanting to bargain their releases for a Total measly sum of 70 Arab Rs i.e. half Billion dollars each, However the NAB people have evedence of 10 times that sum is Overseas Banks taken from Pakistan!
So it seems Mr 10% is still working his crooked ways! who knows?**
