Is it Dahi Baray or Dahi Bhallay? Ive never seen it anywhere except on GS!

I think Bhalley are punjabi for BaRey.

but I wonder what does dahi PHULKIAN mean ? does it refer to dahi chotay ????

phulkian are made of besan while baRey/bhalley are made from maash/moong dal.

Dahi Baray are usually big and made with mash ki daal.

Dahi Phulkiyan are usually small and made with besan.

Think of pakorey in raita and thats your dahi phulkiyan.

o we make dahi baray with besan usually n only sometimes with daal. i m not sure but i think dahi bhallay are savoury while dahi baray are sweet (we have em sweet). also dahi phulkian are huger.

There is one fool proof recipe of Zubeida Tariq's. I tried and it turned out well. Let me search it and post here.
