I would be grateful to him if he does that. We are into prelimiary sessions of re-ordering the civil defence in Sindh. The system has crashed. We need to concentrate on raising an expert pool of Volunteers and Trainers. I would love to have manuals and brochures. Faizy, please come up with your expert opinion. PM me if you have any thing to give to me. Thank you in advance.

give me a week.. having safety-committee meeting @ work ..

and training is simple.. u hear alarm, u get out ..

we did a test huddle at fire-alarm, building evac was done in 4 minutes..

surprizingly i was standing at shift's end and noticed building was evac'd in 2 minutes..

i can only hope for 'civil' denfence for karachi ..

basic infrastructure involves wiring sprinkler system, that has its isolated water-supply from a roof-located water-tank.. alarm system is connected to every sprinkler with a smoke-detector, 1 dectector sets off alarm and there are "in case of fire, pull this" panels at every floor of buildings..

knowing public coming in, going outta building, expect immature behaviour from everyone of them ..

so public-pulling-points need to be equipped with cams and warnings for misuages will end up in penalty and 'this panel is monitored with video surv'

our telephone line system is connected to the firesprinklers and in an event of an actual fire (sprinklers going off) it sets off a beeper in the town's firebrigade station..

in case of telephone system failing, the signal is diverted to a wireless solution, a dedicated dish connected via cellular network in our town's firebrigade station....

let me know via pm what exactly u interested in .. business cost-benefit scenario, workplace safety, peace of mind (at capital's expence: meaning less profit-sharing award at end of year) or advertising of workplace being safe and corporate-exposure..

(ours is simple: property damage and worker's safety)
