ur poems made me cry :-( i love my dad so so much, i dont know what id do without him, although im married etc the thought of him not being around one day, oh God im crying! i cant even think about it...i cant imagine how hard it is & its one dukh u will never get over, parents are a precious gift & no matter at what age they go the pain is always going to be the same...im sorry u lost ur dad wen he was so young, may Allah tala grant him the highest of jannahs & give you sabr...i hv nothing to say that will make u feel better, im sorry :-( sending u a big hug
Your poem was beautiful, it made me cry. My gran passed away not too long ago, we were never close until right at the end...her last few weeks. I'm glad I got to serve her, it made my love for her grow so much that now I keep remembering her and making dua for her. May Allah grant all of our parents Jannah-tul-Firdaus. Ameen.
I'm sorry, Gloss. You have memories of him at least, try to take comfort in those. Loss is irreparable, but eventually it becomes habit and so gets easier to bear.
i feel for my mum who has undoubtely suffered the biggest loss.... my mum and dad were like best friends, they both have been through so much in their life and both stood by each other no matter what.... its heart breaking to think what she goes through every day. She has kept all of dads clothes, one day she was looking at my dads blazer jacket and found his hair on collar of the jacket, she picked up the hair and kept it safe..... she has left one of his jackets hanging in the room, as he used to leave it hanging....i know she misses him sooo much and no matter what we do, we cant fill that void that has been left by my dads absence...it breaks my heart to think that whilst we the children busy ourselves in work, studies etc, she is at home alone, thinking about my dad.... i would pay any price to have my dad back in our lives. I would have taken that bullet for him.....
I envy all of my friends who have their fathers with them. i cant help but feel jeloused when i see the father daughter relationships....it kills me :(

i completely feel your pain my dad passed away the end of May and sometimes i just cry, cry cry..
strange isnt it how as family, we avoid talking about dad, because we all know that the mere mention of his name and every one's eyes will well up...even though we all want to remember him and talk about him, it is so painful so we will sit quietly and just look at his pictures and all probabaly cry at night when no one is watching.... :(
