Daavat/Dinner ideas

I am doing a daavat for a family and wanted some fresh ideas…i feel as if im going to make the same boring food which they have ate at everyone houses:

Starters:
3 Bean salad
Fish
Roast

Mains:
Kofte
Chicken dish with peppers

Naan and Chaawal

Dessert:
Trifle
Cheesecake

I want new ideas or a new dish for starters or mains..not anything 2 hard 2 make :wink:

mini tuna fishcakes

chicken stirfry with noodles/plain rice
keema salan with naan
paalak aloo / channa daal eaten with naan or plain rice

Dawat (Desi):
mutton karahi
chicken pulao
(or vice versa)
chicken masala roast (cooked in yogurt with masala jaat :wub: )
fish fried
seekh kababs or kabab masala
sometimes haleem (my mom used to make it…never tried myself)
salads (fresh, macaroni, beans)
raita, chutney
Drinks
IceCeam or some delight
Green tea

Chinese:
Soup
Egg fried rice
chicken manchurian
Chicken with vegetables or almonds
Chicken roast
Fish fried
Chinese macaroni or spaghettis
Russian salad (or any other salad)
