Re: ** DAAM **
stupid ending. her character went through a 360 turn in one year…
it didnt happen in the past 7 years…but one year did it?
im sad:( what was the point of him breaking his marriage or going through such an ordeal…he did no wrong..why did he have to suffer, whereas as Zaarah is shown completly differnt in the last scene. stupid stupid stupid:( why was he punished? made me cry.
in reply to the Umairas fb status : his wife was a psycho…there was no outside force making him divorce her…it was a failed marriage…he was manipulated to get married.
what did poor junaid get at the end:(
by the way…is the guy in any other drama? they look nice together..wanna seeee them again
Re: ** DAAM **
^ I soooo agreee!
The ending was absurd. Both siblings broke off their marriage and Zaara and Junaid still didn't get married, dumbest thing ever. And seriously the last scene was just...........ARGH! I feel for Junaid the most, at least Zaara appears to be happy.
EDIT: So I didn't watch the whole drama, it's still airing here but I happened to watch the last episode on youtube two days ago. My question is: was Humayeon Saeed in the drama at all before OR was he just in the last scene?
Re: ** DAAM **
yea the last scene really bugs me too...what was the point? she became like Maleeha? How is that good? Zaarah is not the type of person to change like that..looks like she completly forgot how/who she was
and if Maleeha broke her marriage and paid for waht she did...then Junaid and Zaarah should have gottein together.
In the dramas where the men/society have done wrong to the women and I want them to come out empowered... Umera shows them weak till the end (Man o Salwa, Uraan) here the guy did nothing wrong...he never betrayed her...and she showed an illogical change in the woman? what a manipulated ending just for the sake of being different
Humayoun was in about 2 scenes:D one phone call and the last one!
Re: ** DAAM **

Re: ** DAAM **
Yeah i agree it was diff story n good too i liked it
Re: ** DAAM **
Gosh i loved this drama! The acting and the story was just too believable... loved it.
Not happy with peoples attitude about the ending.. I thuoght it was totally believeable
Re: ** DAAM **
I dont think Zara broke Junaid’s marriage. It was a broken marriage to begin with.. more like a bandaid marriage so that Maleeha’s would survive..
And the 2nd or 3rd last scene where Zara asks about whether she would really break Junaid’s marriage… that should make sense to everyone.. she’s not going to marry someone where there may be slight hope of fixing a marriage… there was a child involved, Sophie.
And, it doesnt even say that Maleeha’s marriage broke off. She left home saying she’s not sure what she’s going to do. Doesnt mean they didnt make up..
It was a perfectly believable ending.
and just to add to that… dont think Zara changed into Maleeha… she just got on with her life.
For goodness sakes, she couldnt have remained the way she was as a college going kid… 7 years later, she’s become a surgeon.. living in UK.. u’d think she would have changed by then. She had… she had matured and realised what people really are. Good on her ![]()
Re: ** DAAM **
I found the end very satisfying, but know some people who were disappointed that Sanam and Junaid didn't end up together. I think completely otherwise and would've been VERY disappointed if it had happened otherwise.
The forced breakup was the catalyst for Zara to take charge of her life and grow both professionally and personally. The only burden on her was that adeel didn't know why she left him and that she never got a chance to talk to maleeha and get everything out of her system .Once she does both of these, she can truly move on.
So much time has passed and she's experienced so much in the past 7 years: specialization, residency, job, monetary security, a new life, new friends. She's probably interacted with hundreds of people during that time and made countless new memories. Her getting over Junaid is very very natural. Maleeha and Junaid on the other hand are EXACTLY where they were 7 years ago and are both living in the past since the present isn't how they'd planned it to be. Junaid thinks he still loves Zara, only because he has a miserable life and thinks about what could've been as opposed to what is( which is marriage to a psychotic woman). If he were happy he would've forgotten her. I think it's very realistic don't you?
Btw the forced breakup was the best thing that could've happened to Zara. Yes it was painful and cruel, but if Maleeha had happily married her bro and zara, wouldn't zara have felt "ehsaan mund" her entire life and suffered from an inferiority complex. Now she is a confident and successful individual who recognizes her own brilliance.
well said. Totally agree
Re: ** DAAM **
