Does anyone have daal/turka recipe which has some sort of interesting twist? I love daal, but I’m getting tired of eating it the same way (the onion/garlic/mirchi/ginger/zeera turka).
Do share if you’ve ever tried something new with daal.

Re: Daal But With A Twist
Pachrangi daal
Kewnti daal
Daal-ghost
Sookhi maash ki daal
Bhoona moong ki daal
Meethi daal
Khatti daal
^ These are all daals with the normal tarka, but the flavours are different than the usual recipes because some are combo daals or have "extras" of some sort.
Re: Daal But With A Twist
Look up Gujarati recipes -- they often will add peanut, coconut and sugar. Also, look up south Indian recipes -- they seem to put black mustard seed in everything.
