its around 3.9 by 3.5 or something, i have cyst. and have had no periods for 2 months because of this. not scary is it? the doctor said to take the medics she gave me and come again for a scan in a month.
also she gave me a contraceptive pill to take- its called diane -35, i read the leaflet but it seems more to do with controlling acne?? and she told me to take on 5th day of period, while in packet it says 1st day of period???

for the cyst dr. always start diane-35 on 5th day of cycle. it takes a month or two for the cyst to dissolve.

Yeah i took diane 35 too fom 5th day onwards. Thats the normal procedure.

Follow ur doctor's instructions. Diane-35 is to shrink the size of ur cyst and prevent follicles from turning into new cysts. Trust ur doctor, it gives a quicker recovery.

Don't worry, I had a cyst too before I was married. Had to get it removed surgically as it was quite big. I went on to have kids with no problems. The surgery was in Pakistan. No problems again so far. MA!

a few years back one of my friend had a cyst and she was unmarried doctor put her on medicine and it was cured so don't worry all will work well just follow the doctor's advise.

Dnt worry nadzz it's a small cyst shd resolve without problems inshallah. My friend had a 9cm x7cm mega cyst and that resolved spontaneously.

xjatti2khanx it would be good to do some blood tests/ultrasound. Periods should settle in a couple of years of menarche. Irregular periods could be a sign of PCOS and it's quite common, about 10% of women have it.

Yes, Diane 35 is a birth control. If you are using it like you are supposed to (taking it everyday, at the same time), then it will work as birth control, along with dissolving your cyst. I believe it usually takes a week for the birth control to properly get in your system and work as birth control.
Diane 35 is prescribed a lot for women who have pcos, to combat androgens, reduce facial hair, and keep cysts away. I hope it works out for you!

Usually cysts are symptom less. I used to have abdominal pain though. Usually cysts are diagnosed through ultrasounds.

so what happens once cyst has disscolved, and you no longer wish to take diane 35.....because i wish to mainly use as birth control, but if im away from husband for a while, say 3 4 5 months., is it necessary to still use it, or can i stop using it and then start again once back with husband. does it have any side effects.....

^bcp usually take a month or two to be effective. those first couple of months you need to use other forms of bc as well. if you take the pills irregularly, you do risk pregnancy.
it's worth asking your doc about this separate issue.
