Nothing of the sort, everybody was advised to go to schools which were all turned into emergency sheltered. Omanis, expats all alike.

LB and the family if fine and back in there own house now. Thanks for the concerns.

No it's not raining yet but it is cloudy since yesterday. There is forecast of heavy rain on the eastern coast till 25th.

Only between 15 june to 15 august. At that time they have this "Khareef festival" and people from all over middle east come there. It rains almost daily for two months all the brown mountains become green for two months. Lots of waterfalls.

Thanks mostar for your telephone call. I have decided to move the family to dubai today afternoon. We just recieved warning via sms from the meteriological dept, things might go bad again by tomorrow afternoon. Lets see what happens next.
