well..will u go for it though ;) ?

No, I don't think I can marry a person I haven't met, through video conferencing.

fret, who is to say that u did not meet the person. A good pal of mine had to do his nikah over the phone because he was unable to go to Pakistan, his bride flew over and we had a reception here.

He had known this girl for 7-8 years and they had been engaged for 2 years. They had to use that medium because of complications with his vacation and need for her to get here quicker to start her masters.

for this medium my only concern will be of getting the nikah hacked :)

That's a good point, Fraudz. It actually came to mind soon after I wrote the post. You're right, there could be complications as you stated, in which case I'd have no problem having a nikah in that manner.

:rotfl: @nikkah hacked..

what does happen if the nikkah gets hacked?

You know what tickles my tonsils is that how do they manage to get witnesses and mullah's on both sides whether it be cyber or phone wedding? how do they verify it all? hmm...this is pretty new to me. koi batai?

Mullah's is with dulhan side only.. the witnesses are also at dulhan's side.. who ask permission from dulha first to be witnesses on his behalf during nikkah. the dulha talks to all the the witnesses and then gives them the permission..qazi ji reads the dua n stuff..get the papers signed.

fret, u dork :D :D :D
