Awww khawa..I love your ideas n totally agree except that I can't bear seeing my child choking for him to learn his lesson.
I thought the idea behind cute spoons plates etc is to attract them to food not just because mommies are spoiling them pampering but again I m not judging anyone here so pleas dn be offended. :-)

Gtg... We all as parents try to do what we thinks is best for our children... If u like the mesh feeder... Pls dont feel like uhave to defend your right or choice to using it... With mesh or without.. Every 30 yr old nows how to eat an apple :D

As for these things attracting kids to eating... Bechari genie has a plain blue bowl and a simple rubber tipped spoon..she is an ace eater mashallah...
Her idiotic older bro on the other hand i wemt crazy buying colorful stuff with animals and whatnot... He hated eating..
Thsts why i said.. Kids are the smart ones here.. Its us mothers that are the idiots!
But once again.. To each their own... There is nothing wrong in wanting to help or splurge on ure child :)

khawa ur daughter sounds like mine, she dont care about her bowls, spoons n sippy cups, she just wants her food, n she loves eating by her own hand, i think she feels much satisfied lolz

I look up to your advice, after all you are raising two without any damage so must be doing something right but I was just afraid that letting him choke.. I cant do that! I may make him nazak but its okay, we will find him a masculine wifey.. kiya khiyal hai ;)

Haha… I think we just may… But thats ok.. My son is a pansy regardless of the fact he didnt like the mesh… Cries at the sight of bushes!! 
And seeing ure kid choke is not a nice sight… I would curse at hm when he would keep at it..mr tall that is. But eventually midget learned… I still curse over the memories

one more question....
do/did u take plastic bowls,spoons n sippy cups when going outdoors for a picnic or shopping etc or the same steel spoons etc which u r using at home.....just thinkin if m using bowls n cups from our dinnerset at home....should i have to buy for outdoors?

Yes I used to take them out, you can use any small airtight container n plastic spoon n u r done :)
