We are all lead to believe that none of the sects is wrong. All Sects have based their beliefs, fiqh , rituals on interpretation of Quran , ahadees , or sunnah.
So if I say that I will follow only one sect because I think that this is only one which is right then indirectly I am saying that the beliefs, fiqh and rituals of the other sects are wrong or made up. Who am I or anybody else to decree that ?
What gives the right to one sect to enforce only their beleifs , fiqh and rituals as the only righteous ones and discredit others ?
I think as long as some fiqh , belief or ritual does not go against the basic tenants of Islam then nobody has the right to consider other person wrong , astray , munafiq , fasiq or fajir.

The idea behind difference of opinion is that:

“I believe I am right, but could be wrong and I believe you are wrong, but could be right … hence I believe I have earned 2 rewards where you have earned 1”

And the “I” here is what qualified scholars are allowed to say …
