clothes that most of these sites display in pics arent usually made by them... they collect pictures of clothing from other designer sites.. and use them as their own..
honestly.. if u thought u would be gettin good quality stuff form someone who didnt design the original outfit in the first place.. tsk tsk indeed...
a designer knows what fabric to use and how to put the outfit together (be it finishes, embroidery or simple fabric choices)... a retailer who's only business is to sell clothing, can't exactly do this.. they dont have a clue bout it... ab cheap paise mein yeh hi hoga.. :) be it ordering online.. or giving it a tailor to copy off.. he'll also turn out a medicore outfit.. if u must do a knock-off of an outfit. the only way to go abouts it is to find everythin ureself (fabric, zippers, buttons etc).. and then give it to the tailor.
non designer clothing retailers like bargello are incapable of churning out high quality stuff.. :)
I’d much rather get ready-made stuff from liberty or fortress or pace, n then do a lil bit of tailoring (loosening/tightening>>like the latter has ever happened ), its much easier and I wud get something better than whatever crap the gully-wali darzan wud give back to me.. but i dont like how everything readymade is made for skinny grls
sara.. buy free size stuff... i think they would fit u perfectly.. gone are days when only cheap designs came in free size.. now even good outfits are available in free size (coudl i use this word any more!!)...
Online shopping is my biggest hobby these days. When I saw this thread and I decided to buy from Bargello. I was a bit scared as the forum thread wasn't supportive to them. However, my birthday was coming up and after seeing the website and dresses I gained some confidence and decided to buy from them.
My first order was in pink colour. The dress colour was actually in red but since I was buying it for my birthday I got it customised in pink colour. Everything seemed fine and my order was placed after few email correspondence on email and I was given go-ahead to place the order.
I forgot to mention in the order form that I wanted to have it with full sleeves as I wear Hijaab and can't go with sleeveless. My order came and I was very happy to see the workman ship and perfect fitting. The fabric, colour and finishing were to my satisfaction level. The only thing was that I didn't get it with sleeves. I then wrote to the customer service again. Received a phone call from one of their customer service staff that I could have it fixed if I send it back. I agreed and appreciate their help and then changed my mind to send it back. Phoned them again and this time a gentlemen helped me again. I actually wanted to have sufficient amount of fabric so that I can get them stitched locally. I offered some monies for that but the customer service person said that they will take care of it without any further charge. I became so happy.
Right after 5 days the fabric arrived and I got it fixed locally. My dress got ready for my birthday. Most amazing thing is that I paid nothing as costume import duty or VAT. My parcel arrived both the times in perfect condition and without any hassles.
In this thread, I don't agree to the comments someone has put. I am now taking these bad comments about Bargello just a trick to make their reputation bad. But they don't know people these days do not just believe in fake comments. They want to see and can judge themselves. From website look to operations in the two countries, well customer service and detailed email responses the company doesn't leave an impression that they are unprofessional.
You may not be aware how difficult it is for us to find amazing good clothes. Indian designers sell revealing and awkward clothes. Their fabric and designs are not rich and as decent as we are looking for. I think sites like Bargello are not only backing us with amazing styles but helping to remove unemployment level in Pakistan.
Think, if we started buying from our own country how much monies we will be giving them in directly. When people have no money they create nuisance in the area. The main reason of unrest situation in the countries is that the government has been failed to give enough opportunities to people. They hardly earn few rupees to survive. They need our support and we can support them like this.
I am not saying that buy with closed-eyes. You can check each business and justify them. You will be able to make judgement between the truth or false.

Shazi i was thinking the same thing...what a coincidence that both MARIAKHAN and ayesha2 (in two different threads) both say in the first couple of lines that "Online shopping is my biggest hobby" they are obviously written by the same person!
yeah and both of them also stated the same thing about www.bargelloshop.com providing work to people in pakistan. They just forgot to mention that they are stealing money and work away from the designers who were talented enough to come up with these designs in the first place.:hoonh:

Why would I, or anyone else for that matter, want to write comments "a trick to make their reputation bad" just for the fun of it? Obviously, one of the intents of forums like these is to inform others and to help them avoid unprofessional business people such as bargelloshop.com or bargellocollection.com or whatever they are calling themselves these days...
I think that anyone knows that people on this forum are educated enough to come to their own conclusions, and if people choose to still order from this business despite the many bad experiences people have posted about them; then so be it At least the rest of us are legitimate in our intentions and our postings - so that alone should lend more credibility to our words versus those of someone who has misrepresented themselves and had an amazingly perfect experience with bargello....it definitely sounds like someone who works for the company. Maybe they are noticing how when you do a google search for bargelloshop, these threads are starting to pop up right after.....:)
Very Funny, and yes Ayesha is my Sister. We both are Satisfied Customers of Bargelloshop.com. We Found all the Things (Embroidery to Stiching) Good and I dont know what are you Talking about. I dont Agree about their Customer Relations. I had'nt any Bad Experience like you.
There are many peoples working in Calling Center of Bargelloshop.com. IF anyone has misbehaved you, you should Complain and its better to bring matter in front of bargelloshop.com rather then Creating Hurdles and discussing it and putting Mirch Masala. Well the website is simply Good and You can Get Designers Cloth at Cheap Price, So? There's Nothing Bad here. Thanks!
"mariakhan" - people have tried bringing these matters to bargelloshop.com's attention, but it has been ineffective. I have complained and here is an example of one of the responses I received to my complaint letters....(I have others saved as well)...
That is fine if you don't agree, or if one or two people have had good experiences , no one here is wishing a bad experience on anyone and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. The point is to educate fellow consumers about the possible risk they are taking in ordering from bargello/shop/collection. That is all.

That's an email from bargello? That is truly disgusting! How dare they treat PAYING CUSTOMERS like that!!!! Even if their stuff was good i wouldn't even consider them after reading that response..........MariaKhan is that what you mean by good customer service?
Yep, that email is from them. I have other emails from them saved as well, but like shazi11's emails from them, some have vulgar language that I don't want to post. This was in response to me sending them a long email complaining about the quality of the suit and telling them how poor their customer service was during the whole ordering process..
FYI...They also go by Bargello(bargello.com), Bargello Collection (bargellocollection.com), Bargello Shop (bargelloshop.com), and some other "online Pakistani Fashion Boutique Carries Women's Designer Shalwar Kameez"....
