Last year in pk i came accross many a shop in lahore and karachi who were totally upfront about 'this is a HSY design' and this is a copy of 'Nilofer Shahid' I used to turn three shades of red but everyone else was quite non-challant about it. I guess the general masses really dont care if they have an original or a look alike and certainly have no qualms about stolen/copied designs. ALso im sure its not a threat to the designers as their elite clientele wouldnt buy off a common shop as it would be against their image. But for real people like us living abroad who do care its a catch 22 situation. ALl said and done it still does not justify the horrible attitude you got from B.Shop- i have seen quite a few aunties yell at the sales people at wedding clothes shops for never having the order ready on time and no one ever insults the customer back (though some ladies are also way out of line).
Perhaps you can email google and let them know of your experience and forward them the nasty emails you got- google should have a policy about shady operations?
