Code_Red, thanks for pointing out the difference b/w rights and responsibilty. You are absolutely right. Unlike in the west…rights of a parents are not denied in Islam after divorce. A mother is free to see her children whenever she wants and can continue to be involved in their life. Your clarification b/w these two terms alone made it easier to explain.
