Custard

every time i make custard it comes out lumpy … yeah with lumps here and there … why?

there may be two reasons
1...when you add powder(dissolved in milk) to boiling milk....do you add it while constant stirring...?? if no then it sure will be lumpy

2...while adding custard powder to boiling milk ...temperature is too high ....either dissolve it when you take it off stove ...or just lower the temperature under it

if you dont use custard powder n make custard with eggs ,...you need to beat it rreally well...!!

^ agree..:)

whats wrongs with having lumps in your custard anyway? Its the best kind. I also love the skin that forms on top of custard too.

shahreen … nothing wrong with having lumps but when i have to cook it for guests i can’t give them in that state … can i … me too the like the malai on top of the custard :yummy: ..

Actually ppl
u are supposed to dissolve custard powder in cold miik.
Pour some cold milk in a bowl/cup and add the desired amount
of the custard powder. Mix it and then add it to the milk on the stove.
To make it thicker add half and half or evaporated milk.

Try it and let me know how it turns out.
