Hi all,
my mom is going to Pakistan (Islamabad, Multan, Lahore maybe Karachi) and I wanted her to get done casual wear. However neither one of us has been to Pakistan in over 10 years so were unsure of brands types of material etc. I was thinking of getting embroidered chiffon or cotton, silk, maybe Marina. Are there fabrics that are really good in pak and you can’t find anywhere else for example bareeza, broshia, etc. I have a lot of kaam clothes so I’m looking for something in between.
Do anyone have an idea about prices as well? (Sorry if this thread has been posted before )
Bareeze is good but not in vogue as much as it used to be. I don't know which city you are going to but visit Portia Fabrics if you have one in your city. Check out Generation too and oh Chyinnere by Bareeze is good more in vogue than the actual Bareeze Chicken (eyelet) fabric. Current trend is medium length shirts with ciagattte pants but you will still find lots of long length shirts too. Buy shirts only in cotton type fabric or malai fabric and pair these with trendy lowers like leggings, cigarette pants etc and duppattas, the matchy matchy old trend of shirt duppatta and shalwar is not too much in vogue anymore.
Khaadi, Nishat, Beechtree, Origins, Sana Safinaz (expensive but gorgeous short shirts available), even pret 9 had some nice stuff. We have knee length shirt with trouser trend and if longer shirt than tights look more modern. I'd say skip the dupatta and go for scarves or stoles.
