Yes, the ghastly white is sickening! i have a few friends who are dusky and they have ended up looking like ‘ghost brides’… some girls just stress on going three shades lighter than their original color!!!

3 shades lighter…man thats just crazy! I assume they dont have their hands, neck and arms covered in the foundation do they? So they have a powder white face but brown arms, neck and hands. Thats just WIERD!

I found it interesting that they said that they find taller girls desirable because several of the guys there were around 5'6" 5'7" themselves. So why would you want a girl near your own height?

That really is funny...I have mostly seen that too...and tall guys mostly like petite girls....sure is inexplainable to me...:) ...

And one more thing....The really really chitta pan so desired by desis all over the globe....without any real beautiful features...it just mixes here when they come to the western countries...all that charm is washed away:)

i am pathan yh but i have met girls and guys who are punjabi sindi watever who are exteremly light coloured but it dont make u attractive and if u think it does then u need to see more of the world

there are a handful of dark bollywood heroines
there are more dark bollywood heroines who look fair..thanks to cosmetics, when they are on screen.

point is that we have some complex when it comes to complexion
you have fair ppl who are attractive, darl ppl who are attractive, ppl just need to be true to themselves.

I disagree dear, yes looks are not everything and they do change with time, but its people / personalities which change as well…they’re different before marriage and end up being somone very different a few years after marriage…I’m sure youve heard this rhetoric from many of your friends before as well

When I was seven years old, I saw the most beautiful woman on the planet. I went with my "Girl Scout" troup on a tour of the UN and our tour-guide was a pakistani gal dressed in shalwaar kameez. I never forgot the awe that all of us had, for her beauty, her serenity that was just infectious, and for her passion about her country. All of us in the troup were just in awe, far more than if she had been the hottest movie star of the time.

She was NOT all fair-skinned, she was the dark and mysterious type of beauty...the type that men, in the end, really go for. But more than the looks was by far...her serenity and her ability to make us all feel the passion that she had for her country and for helping others in need. I'm sure that the girl scouts never had as many donations as that particular year, we worked our tails off to send her our collected donations for the hungry children in her country.

Now THATS beauty.
