Re: Current Elected Officials & Their 4 Year Performance
This is a very good question, and a very good time to ask this question. This question is being put forward to all PPP reps in talk shows these days. There are two varieties of replies from them.
- Stock answer, which is similar to Zardari’s speech in parliament. ‘hum ney yeh kiya, hum ney woh kiya’, where everything is merely eyewash…numbers of papers, nothing on the ground.
- Our govt. has been tied down in conspiracies, hence was not able to do anything.
My hometown is a highly industrialized city, with the highest per capita income in the country. However, the only time we see the big name politicians of our town is when they want to do a jalsa. The city suffers from lack of electricity, and lack of support from the government in general. No ground reality in sight for the past so many years. Basically, its a self sustaining city, no thanks to the government.
