After 4 years of government what is the current situation of development projects in your constituency?
How many projects were promised in last elections?
How can someone compare the promises with the actual ground realities?
What tools/services are available for mango man to find out the details of proposed projects and finished projects by the elected officials?
Re: Current Elected Officials & Their 4 Year Performance
Mango man is a dying breed, that’s all there is to say.
If I had the option of going 4/5 years back, I’d do so in an instant.
Re: Current Elected Officials & Their 4 Year Performance
Both of you should be ashamed of yourselves. No party has given as many sacrificies for the country as PPP has given. And here you are talking about projects…ehsan-faraamosh log ![]()

Re: Current Elected Officials & Their 4 Year Performance
PPP government has not done much particularly in Sindh and Baluchistan, may result in great set back in coming elections. But this government has faced the most conspiracies and always under the threat of packing up. Perhaps it is one of main reason for their ineffectiveness in these two provinces, most of the time their efforts were centered on saving the government. However this government has been successful in tackling frquent suicidal bombings, controlling jehadis, freedom of press, freedom of speach and independent judiciary. This government has never gone after opposition to settle the scores how much they have been criticized or abused. Its leaders have always been under constant pressure from media, judiciay, opposition and military. It has tackled the biggest menace of taking over by military. These will definitely help to those who will win the comming elections and perhaps give more attention to the internal problems in future now facing by the people.

Re: Current Elected Officials & Their 4 Year Performance
My apologies, sire.
It shan’t happen again!
Re: Current Elected Officials & Their 4 Year Performance
If we are going down that road, I think the amount of work done in my consituency during Musharraf's term has been far more than any previous gov't, civilian or military.

So the criticism and conspiracies of partners in crime parties is the main reason of failure to deliver?
And what are their achievements in Punjab and KP?

Whats your halqa# and who was and is your local representative?
Re: Current Elected Officials & Their 4 Year Performance
I haven't the slightest clue! It's a pind in Gujrat so I think some choudhry was the representative during Mushy's term.

is it near Mandi bahaudin?
Re: Current Elected Officials & Their 4 Year Performance
No, it's close to Gujrat. Now don't go asking for the name :p Mandi bahauddin is a district on its own now.
i'm pretty sure it was Shujaat or Pervaiz ilaahi for NA and either their younger brother or one of their sons was the rep for the provincial assembly. Wajahat hussain his name is i think. Shujaat's younger brother.

I dont know much about KP, but even in Punjab more work was done in Musharraf's time. If you consider the four (current) provincial governments then Punjab is the best amongst them.

Yes I agree with you that the conspiracies stopped the government from working for the people but it couldn't stop them for carrying out corruption (since all governments have been doing that throughout Pakistan's history so thats not bad either).

This is a very good question, and a very good time to ask this question. This question is being put forward to all PPP reps in talk shows these days. There are two varieties of replies from them.
1. Stock answer, which is similar to Zardari's speech in parliament. 'hum ney yeh kiya, hum ney woh kiya', where everything is merely eyewash...numbers of papers, nothing on the ground.
2. Our govt. has been tied down in conspiracies, hence was not able to do anything.
My hometown is a highly industrialized city, with the highest per capita income in the country. However, the only time we see the big name politicians of our town is when they want to do a jalsa. The city suffers from lack of electricity, and lack of support from the government in general. No ground reality in sight for the past so many years. Basically, its a self sustaining city, no thanks to the government.

Punjab and KP are ruled by different parties. Some one has already opened a thread in praise of SS for massive development projects in Punjab funds provided by federal government.
Re: Current Elected Officials & Their 4 Year Performance
Why don’t Federal Govt provides funds to Sindh… They are just limited to lip service to people Sindh… No new projects in Karachi since last four years…
What they think of People of Sindh? Do they consider them slaves or purchased property or what?

The 100% corrupt government machinery and judiciay is inherited by this government. This government will hand over these corrupt to core to the next government. According to IK, if he comes to into power he would eliminate corruption in three months whicy has been multiplied since decades. Faces changes at top but government machinery remains the same. According GIK, even if Islamic laws are to be implemented in Pakistan regarding stealing money, 99% of Pakis will be with one arm or one hand.:)
