Current Dramas of HUM TV and Indian Content

I have always been a fan of HUM TV but this season they have just beat themselves. Good drama after drama. You name it.

Humsafar
Maat
Merey Qatil, Meray Dildar
Akbari Asghari
Mujhe Roothne Na Deina

and list goes on and on.

Even on lighter side I dont mind watching ‘Extras’ (drama name) from time to time.

I am just wondering what is the need to even have Indian dramas like ‘Utran’ or shows like ‘Just Dance’.

This is not to disrespect Indian Media but these dramas/shows just don’t cut the bill and are of far less quality when it comes to script, acting and direction. If this is to cater Indian audience, I doubt that HUM TV will be able to break into Indian audience by these. They can do that by using dramas like Humsafar and others.

I also wonder about this. Why do pakistani channels show indian stuff? Sometimes they say that the public demands it but I don't buy that for a minute. In the days of PTV people loved pakistani programs and it was considered taboo to even mention the word 'india' or bollywood' on PTV!

just dance is a good prog....specially when u have three talented judges.

uttran is just rubbish.

the only the reasons i see why they show indian stuff is because either

1) its the public's demand.

or

2) the progs/channels have paid humtv good amount.

Thank you HUMTV viewers for yr encouraging comments and comments about showing the Indian content. I am still stand by my words and value my own content. The Indian content sometimes on HUMTV is being shown due to high competition among the Channels however in future InShaAllah The Channel will show more rather pure Pakistani content and for that i need your constant support and encouragement…Thank you.

You're right! You know there is already a big fan following of Humsafar in India. Let our own media progress instead of theirs invading ours as well.

Pakistani private channels in particular are too impressed with the whole bollywood thing. Even with important political news they play cheap indian songs in the background! Urgh!!

They consider speaking English and imitating Indians..... Progress!! It just shows that most pakistanis on Pakistani TV have an inferiority complex!

i think their bollywood industry generates a LOT of revenue from us already. Let's get some from them as well.

Honestly dramas like Humsafar, Maat etc are stellar stuff that needs to be aired everywhere :)
