so these days those current affairs shows have become more interesting than dramas, actually sometimes they even feel like they are scripted by seema ghazal 
do you guys watch any of these shows? i am trying to develop my liking for them because recently whenever i am home and free enough to watch tv those shows are pretty much the only thing on.
my favorite right now is 11th hour with wasim badami, he is the only host who acts like a host, and bring interesting points.
i tried watching shahid masood’s show, but men! ppl yell and scream so much that it reminds me of a kindergarten class without a teacher’s presence.
hamid mir is just plain boring.

my dad watchs every single show aba current affairs on evry single channel and ONLY these kinda shows

I watch if i like the guests that have been invited. I really like Orya sb =D, really enjoy how he quotes the Holy Quran and incidents from the times of Prophets (peace be on all of them). don't get many channels, actually just Ary news and some shows of Aaj tv (which a channel called prime tv telecasts, not sure if its even legal). I've come across hasb-e-haal quite a lot on facebook, people keep sharing the good episodes, so like that too.

true, but some shows are definitely better than others. you don’t have to watch all of them (unless you are over 50, cuz that’s all these ppl do :D). its’ good to be updated on major issues i think.
if you can’t beat them, join them. that’s the strategy i have acquired after seeing my father and brother watching these shows. try finding one that might interest you. they can be quite entertaining minus the whole yelling, screaming and throwing fits, and tantrum. that i can’t stand.

current affair shows are more in tune with reality . they're more popular than dramas. and rightly so because they'r anchored by educated people. our dramas have lost their charm. their content is so crap its an insult to watch them. our best brain rahat kazmi, shaira kazmi, laiq ahmed, shoaib amnsoor, they've all left tv. they've moved on to greener pastures. the new heroes are talk show hosts and rightly as they 're the voice of ordinary pakistani.

I can't watch the news shows. They are so boring to me because I don't really care to follow Pak politics.
Hasb-e-Haal I'll watch every now and then if Husband has it on. that guy is just funny :)

Oh well another such show by Aftab Iqbal the Ex-Anchor of Hasb-e-Haal is now doing Khabarnaak on Geo. Which I think is very cheap kind of comedy and the pattern is almost the same as of Hasb-e-Haal. People use to like his work at Hasb-e-Haal but why he left Hab-e-Haal or you can say Dunya TV Network has some reason. It is said that Aftab Iqbal who was the host of one of the most famous Pakistani Political Talk Show Hasbe Haal that Comes on Dunya TV is not coming in the show from last two weeks and another anchor Junaid has took his place. Many People are asking this question that where is Aftab Iqbal or why he has left Hasbe Haal? According to different Sources the reason Aftab Iqbal has left Dunya News is some disputes with Dunya News Owner Mian Aamir Mehmood due to which he has left Dunya News. The reason this dispute started between Aftab Iqbal and Mian Aamir was Aftab's disrespectful behavior with some people of the staff.

I watch 2-3 episodes of current affairs every night after clinic.
My favs: 1) Dunya Meray Agay - Nusrat Javed and Mushtaq Minhaas do a wonderful job of analysis of current affairs
2) Views on News w/ Shahid Masood - Liking his shows these days because of his focus on Revolution in Pakistan
3) In session w/ Asma Chaudhry - not for any other reason but because woh hai bari pyari :).

Hasb-e-haal is not only geared toward punjabi audience. They have viewers mostly from karachi and KKP
khabarnaak is having punjabi language more in it.
