Curls

I had heard that curling straightened hair is very hard and the curls came out after an hour. I went through this experience last night. I wish I hadn’t straightened my hair in the first place but oh well I guess I will have to curl them again. Any tips as to how I could make them last longer? I’ve tried hairspray and i’m not going to wash my hair today.

Re: Curls

Hmm...I dont think Ive ever wanted to curl my hair...its always the opposite.

However, I would think curling gels/mousses would work in creating and maintaing a curl...not just simple hair spray.

Re: Curls

yea you would have to use other things other than just hairspray…is your hair naturally straight or curly because that makes a difference on how you would get curly better…mine is sort of wavy but if i want to completely curl it i start of with a curl defining mousse than if i need to take a curler and curl my hair after i have it curled the way i want it i use a spray gel from pantene 404 - Content Not Found | Pantene i really like this one and after that i spray with hair spray to hold the curls

Re: Curls

you could get a perm, i got a professional perm which has lasted for a while, for me it's lasted for about 1 to 2 yrs so i didn't have to curl it myself every day

Re: Curls

beaware perm is dangerous for you hair

Re: Curls

what do you recommend for permanent naturally curly hair? i’ve gotten a perm twice in my lifetime and i’m just in love with curly hair and my hair since birth has been super straight:bummer:

Re: Curls

u can scrunch ur hair while still wet. use a curling mouse. i used to use one by curves i believe. then blow dry and keep scrunching. finally use curling rod or curlers depending how much curly u want them. i like light waves created by using curling irons on straight hair. but i u need lots of curls hot curlers might b ur answer. there are some websites that tell u how to get a particular style that a celeb or model exhibits.
