Curling Iron Dilemma with Long Hair!

I just recently got into curling my hair, (i used to straighten it everyday before)…i want to do tight curls with my curling iron (1 inch), however since I have long hair (mid back) it’s hard to curl the top half of my hair…

I wrap my hair starting with the bottom and roll it while going up, however when I get almost to the middle of my strand of hair, the hair that I’m wrapping around is literally just being wrapped on “top” of the hair already around the barrel, and then when I let it loose, only the bottom of the strand is curled while the top near my scalp is just straight…

How can I curl right so I get the top of my hair as well??

Use your straightner to curl your hair...?

Re: Curling Iron Dilemma with Long Hair!

use a curling wand, take a piece of your hair from the top and wrap your hair around the wand (where as normally we use the curling iron, section a piece clamp down on the hair and wrap from bottom to the top the wand reverses the process).

Re: Curling Iron Dilemma with Long Hair!

Lol, I thought that a curling Iron and wand were the same thing and she was talking about the one in the video oh well yeah if you don't have the "wand" i think thats the best way other wise you can just use your straightner as I said before.
