Overlooking the Islamic perspective, if a girl likes another girl would it be better for that girl to call herself a bisexual/bicurious instead of a lesbian?

Ah thats an interesting question!
Well if someone has these 'issues', perhaps they should keep it to themselves? In case of that girl, why would she want to 'call herself' bisexual/bicurious? I mean would that make a difference whatever she wants to call herself?

Let's say for example, the girl that likes another girl wants to tell her that she likes her. Now would it be better to say bisexual instead of lesbian?

It is fairly obvious that by ‘like her’ you mean ‘wants her’, in which case she should perhaps ask for Allah’s help and get the twisted ideas out of her head? Or thats not an option?

Gay - Men only
That is how it is defined. If the girl likes both women and men then she is Bisexual.

And how would that affect how the prospective female would react? The word doesn't change the reaction of the prospective lover.
If the girl is not interested, being lesbian or bisexual would cause panic, alarm and what not. If she is interested, well achem the rest is best left unsaid! :D

Anyway, according to sexoligists, rarely is a female perfectly straight or conversly completely gay. Usually they are inbetween a sliding scale of 1 to 6. Where 1 is straight and 6 in gay.

Why not tell the conquest the truth? I've never felt this way before about another woman and I'm not sure what to call it.
That would be better than boxing yourself under a title which may or may not be true.

You are what you are, you shouldnt announce that to anyone unless you want to or are planning on making a lifestyle out of it, in which case I hope Allah guides you on the right path and gives you some sort of peace. If you’re still attracted to men, please just try to get that other side out of you or suppress it…

My understanding is that the word "bisexual" would mean that she is sexually attracted to BOTH males and females. And if that's the case, then the term bisexual/bicurious would make sense. However, is she is ONLY attracted to fellow females...that would make her a lesbian or homosexual (one who only displays attraction toward same/homogenous/similar gender).
