Pakistan’s total GDP is 450 billion USD. 60% of GDP is a very huge sum. As I said previously before 1973 Pakistan used to spend roughly 60% of the Federal Budget on Armed Forces but in the year 2005 total expenditure on armed forces was 18 billion USD which is 3.9% of GDP and around 25% of Federal Budget. These stats are authentic you can check them on Wikipedia.

Religion and nationalism are two biggest dividing factors of mankind. Due to emphasis on secularism we are able to neutralize the effect of religion to a certain extent. But with the decline of stress on religion we are also witnessing an excessive stress on nationalism. The concept of pluralism and multiculturalism addresses this issue to some degree but in an indirect manner. Pluralism and multiculturalism are applied within the boundaries of a nation state to bring some harmony among the diverse populations living within a state. Now the world is becoming a global village. We interact with people from different cultures and nationalities. There is a need that some modus ope***** can be devised by virtue of which we can reduce the friction and xenophobia among people from different nations and backgrounds.
