Re: Cupping/Hijama
My respected brother: You are confusing word sunnah with “Exactly what the prophet SAW did or advised”.
Not Every ACT of the Prophet SAW has to be copied when essence of the act can be achieved.
You don’t have to ride on a camel to get from point A to point B.
You don’t have to use sword to kill an enemy.
You do not have to practice coitus interruptus to plan a pregnancy.
etc.
Actions of the prophet SAW or his advice are well respected.
But when the SAME effects can be achieved by a different method then no reason to keep doing same act.
You used thick/fasid blood here.
Cupping method makes blood thick and de-oxygenated by making it stagnant.
We all see when blood becomes stagnant/slows down and cannot reach lungs, it becomes dark and thick.
On top of that those who use fire in the cup actually make the inside of the cup lose oxygen and create vacuum so skin gets elevated and blood gets stagnant.
Moreover, the skin draws blood in to that area covered by the cup simply by temperature effect. (Hyperemia)
End result: Blood pools in to these areas, slows down and becomes dark.
Just a gimmick. Nothing more or less.
Now, when skin is stabbed by the knife, blood comes out, looks darker, and people think “bad” or fasid blood is eliminated from the body.
