omgg i love magnolia’s. recently i went to buttercup bakery. one of the owners of magnolias, branched out and opened it, they are pretty much the same recipe, i coudlnt tell the difference between their cupcakes. Buttercup Bake Shop®
the reason i like buttercup and magnolias is not only cuz of the taste but because of all that rich yummy frosting on top. its like half frosting and half cake unlike ther places that are mostly cupcake and very little frosting.
one that i tried out this weekend is Crumbs
so far ive tried out 10 of their cupcakes (thats within 4 days- im a cupcake fanatic), my favorite by far was red velvet:
their cupcakes are very original but they are more like miniature cakes and some of the ones with fudge are jsut way too sweet and chocolate-y for me. another really good one was the oreo cupcake. i also had some that they havent listed up there like tiramisu (not that good), chunky monkey which was pretty good.
my next cupcake adventure will be Cupcake stop:
its a truck that drives around manhattan selling cupcakes from the vehicle. they are supposedly really good and they just started business this summer.

it’s pretty sad but I could eat this whole thing in one day (aatay jaatay).
Do you guys find that you can get a cake at these places in 10 minutes but have to wait hours in line to get cupcakes.
