guys i want to mke redvelvet cup cakes but dun hv muffin tin/tray…can i put the batter into the cup cake liners(paper ones) n place thm in the oven tray or its essential to put them in muffin tin only…pls answer.thnksss

lol....crazy crazy idea...but i think you can give it a try. put them in those butterpaper cups and place them on some baking tray.

Yeh you can do that! I've tried it before and they came out fine!

if you have the paper liners, you can put them in small ceramic/oven safe bowls if you have any...

you can do it on a regular baking tray too, just dont fill the paper liners up too much with batter because the sides will collapse otherwise since they won't have the support of the cupcake pan to hold them up. this is where silicon cupcake moulds are useful!

sgc thx sooooooo mch. relieved to hear ur response. so ive thot i m not gonna take a risk by makin red velvet cupcakes since they use alot of ingredients ... and good one at that! so i m gonna make a simple vannilla cupcakes and try them with liners on a bakin tray. let me see if they come out ok... then ill let u guys know so u can try them too. ive not seen silicon moulds so far in UAE.. maybe they have them.. gotta check them out. thanks guys. will get back to u.. hopefully with gud results :)
