Same is true about enmity among pashtun tribes…but i dont know much about limit they can cross to settle there scores…

Such rivalries continue for generations…

Factional wars in south india specially rayal seema of andhra pradesh are result of such enmity…Ram gopal verma’s Raktacharitra is based on it…

Re: Culture of rivalry and enmity!!!

Its everywhere in society specially those having tribal set-up. Baloch society is also affected by this. Even after migration in Sindh, these Baloch tribes continued their enmity. Chandia and Magsi are two Baloch tribes, living in Sindh. Their enmity got this idiom in Sindhi Language 'Paana main Chandia Magsi' meaning 'fighting like Chandia & Magsi'. Remember a thread about Yusufzai and Khattak's enmity. :)

Re: Culture of rivalry and enmity!!!

One of my friends told me that he went to visit a friend in FATA, and this was before the situation there deteriorated. There were two tribes there who knew him, and both wanted to offer hospitality to him. Naturally he settled for one of them, and the other told him if he wont be their guest they will have to kill him :hmmm:. Pashtun rivalry and revenge is very famous.

Re: Culture of rivalry and enmity!!!

Re: Culture of rivalry and enmity!!!

Most of the times wars began (that lasted for years) on small issues. Like 'Uss ne meri bhens ko anda kiyun maara' :D

Re: Culture of rivalry and enmity!!!

once some one in rayalseema killed a truck driver for over taking factional leaders vehicle............

Re: Culture of rivalry and enmity!!!

very sad. I sometimes think how people change all of a sudden for some useless issues and their generations (how much they become educated) keep on with those issues.

it's jihaalat...paRh likh kar jihaalat aur sab se baRh kar...DEEN se doorii!

Re: Culture of rivalry and enmity!!!

Once you bloody your hands, there will always be more blood; only death washes it off. That’s an old saying told with chilling simplicity in Rayalaseema, the southern part of Andhra Pradesh that borders Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Re: Culture of rivalry and enmity!!!

No tribal warfare happens in Jatland, we fight Khaandaani wars instead :D

Re: Culture of rivalry and enmity!!!
