My hindu friends used to get shocked :eek:after learning that a muslim can marry his cousin(specifically daughter of his paternal uncle as hindus consider that cousin as sister)…

And i was shocked when i was told that a tamil maternal uncle can marry his niece…:eek:

in some part of vidarbha.......i had seen elders touching feet of bride and grooms for blessings...........:D

I remember the kaur telling that in Brahmin families youngest daughter of the home is considered like Devi.

in my village there was this tradition tht bride at rukhsati will ask forgivenness from all family memebers by touching their feet, at my father's couzn's wedding when same thing was about to happen, my grand father stopped it
