So are all religions ‘brainwashing’ humans in some or the other way ? They all promise rewards for good activities (the ‘good’ activities differ).

Or is it just what is perceived as negative which is called brainwashing ?

We all are brought up in a certain way, but even if my family asks me to go and commit suicide I wont because I can think and decide accordingly. No one can be convinced to go and kill himself along with others, the people who get brainwashed cannot think for themselves. The decisions of their life and death are made by others. This is one example, this can be applied to brainwashing people to consider people of other sects as Kafirs and that killing them is a way to go to jannah.
