It does happen here in the UK.. Quite depressing really..
Non-desi counsellors do know this stuff nowadays but if someone feels uncomfortable seeing them there are plenty of Pakistan/Indian/Bangladeshi ones around..
I would add generally more stigma in the event of divorce, complications within the extended family if the couple are cousins etc. to that list
