Re: Crying

EMM love, the enzymes from her tears will no more than to potentially aggrivate the already sensitive skin, due to the salt right? ALso the enzymes are only strong enough to be killing off very weak bacterium - as per their job description. Please dont give her bakwas advice, cause if her face bloats up - I dont think you'll be paying for the surgury, nor will u be taking liability for the scarring.

Free-radicals are anti-toxins, enzymes are not. They do however* contain* toxins and thus again its not really that great for inflamed or chapped skin.

However: I have scars on my face already, I havnt been able to get rid of them at all, they look like mosquito bites actually. If you find somhing that works, tell me. danke.

Re: Crying

awwww sara i dont know how true it is that the scars dont go away for a looong time. i've had them on my hands and legs and go away by themselves as long as you dont further irritate your skin by scratching. its like a cut and not a pimple...remember that. try using some petroleum jelly. there is this first aid tube in pakistan...its like a clear cream (like petroleum jelly) its really effective for cuts.....i forgot the name though :( i remember the white one (betnovate?)

Re: Crying

Sarah, quit crying! :p
hiccup: try getting a peel done. Or the marks should fade away with time.

Re: Crying

Mere skin ko nazar lag hi gaye :bummer:

No really, i haven’t been crying.. but i feel like it, if they dont go away.. :frowning: Im so stupid, i was scratching at it last night :smack: but i was half asleep n dint realize anything :halo: I’ll try applying vaseline like shweet said… :frowning:

Re: Crying

Ira, peels are expensive, Im a student. Im having trouble enough with the bills :p I was hoping for a more cheap home remidy type thing.

Re: Crying

hiccup, in that case, let them be. Acne scars usually fade away with time. I should know since i had/have plenty of them.

Although I must say Retin-A works pretty well too (for keeping the acne away and fading the older scars by slowly peeling away the older skin). But if your acne is under control, leave them scars alone. I am sure you are beautiful just the way you are.

Re: Crying

ira how much do chemical peels cost? and do they make acne scars disappear completely? and do they require some sort of upkeep?(like regular visits to the doctor?)

Re: Crying

shweeto, to be honest i have never gotten done a chemical peel. I got herbal peels done ( a series of 3 of them actually) and i was very pleased with the results. It took about 45 mins to get it done, it was a little uncomfortable. I came home, face was kinda dark and swollen up. I had to use certain products only and couldnt wash the skin for about 5 days. Around the 3rd day it started peeling off and by the 5th day the peeling was complete.

About scars disappearing completely, i would say if not all then atleast 99% of them were gone by the 3rd peel. I got the peels for the deep pick-mark type scars and i loved the results. I was battling with acne and scarring for about 10 years and i didnt think it was possible to get rid of them scars.

Now, it worked for me but i would like to say that everyone's skin is different. Also depends on who is doing the peels. If you ever go that route, make sure you investigate each and everything about the kind of peel and the place you will be getting it done at. I found that i got my money's worth and even more.

I didnt get it done at the doctor's though. The kind i got was called Green Peel and i got it done at Pure Laser (its like a spa of sorts). It was my first time at a nice place like that and i was very pleased with their service, and the results. The place was recommended to me by a friend.

Re: Crying

5 days! wow i think its a procedure best fit for when you dont have to go to work or school (like vacations or something). my brother has acne scars and he got microdermabrasion done (it was kinda expensive in my opinion) and it didnt really make much difference in reducing scars. thanks for that. im gonna recommend the peel to him.

Re: Crying

sara against scars there is a natural formula:

mix rosehip seed oil with helychrysum italicum essential oil

usually 10 drops of EO in 10 ml oil is the basic dilution for esssential oil..it smells pungent but is efficient…i used it after having a navel removed…and the scar is almost invisble…

i ordered all the stuff thrhough internet, i can give u details by PM if u need :rose:

Re: Crying

sara..the mosquitoes bite 2.. now u bite the mosquitoes..:D

Re: Crying

It will go away sara, dont worry. Contact ur physician though and please dont scratch or other wise it will get worst.
