Crushed silk

Randomly searching for jobs in Chicago, I found one looking for someone who knows Chicago well and is street smart and loves people watching, culturally aware, will get paid for writing about plays, theatre, musicals, life in Chicago. How bloody awesome is that! I would love that job. So what’s your dream job?

Re: Crushed silk

My fav job would be to do cricket commentary ... go all around the world, watch cricket from the best possible seat and talk talk talk.

Re: Crushed silk

Be in the foreign service, have tea and cocktails with diplomats, and fly around the world for free, while making serious foreign policy decisions and recommendations for my country :p

(I'm due for phase 2 of the gruelling interview procedure with foreign service, wish me luck folks)

Re: Crushed silk

Get paid outrageously to review concerts. Just sleep all day, attend concerts all night. Buy a truck with all my hard earned money! Ahh I love music.

Re: Crushed silk

^ Sarah what happened to your religious turn-around? all-night concerts dont strike me as something a hijaabi would be attending!

Re: Crushed silk

My religiosity is fluid.

Re: Crushed silk

I always wanted to do that until I realized that I would be nothing but a stooge in the hands of good-for-nothing politicians elected by ignorant masses. Working for demagogues or dictators isn’t any better. It’s like losing your intellectual liberty. Cost is too high. :stuck_out_tongue: Best of luck with your interview!

Re: Crushed silk

I'm quite superficial myself, I think I'll fit in there just fine :p To tell you the truth though I'd never work for the Pakistani govt, and seeing the namooney they send here to represent the country puts us to shame really. A serious waste of tax-payers money.

and thanks.

Re: Crushed silk

That was one of those mood swing thingy. She keeps movingbetween 2 extremes like a Pendulam.

Re: Crushed silk

Do I know you? No. Do you know me? No. And you somehow know all there is to know about my religious inclinations? How ridiculous.

Re: Crushed silk

I do know with my previous nick.

One day Hijabi next day All-night-concert..
let me go away..iska Husband aa ke marega .. :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Crushed silk

^Who says hijabis can't go to concerts?

Re: Crushed silk

Music is Haram.

Re: Crushed silk

Fashion designer...

Re: Crushed silk

Being a diplomat for some dirt rich Sheikh, which essentially means earning a fortune by lazing around the Burj Al Arab all day, swindling their money and watching belly dancers by night.

For sheer excitement my childhood dream was to be a pilot, preferbly PAF fighter pilot.

Re: Crushed silk

Id love to to create fantasy creatures for film and tv....

make those model dragons and monsters or fairyland creatures and creating things for horror movies would be fun

Re: Crushed silk

I would love to own a children's bookshop. All my empolyees would have to dress up as characters from books and dramatically act them out as I sit on the story chair and read out wonderful stories. I think I would need a rich husband for to buy me the book shop...oh well.

Re: Crushed silk

Err......I dont think thread was supposed to be about Sarah's religious inclinations. Who are we to judge anyone at all??

Anyhow, I belive I am currently working at my dream job, Alhamdulillah. Research Analyst
