Re: Cruises
Flew to Hawaii and took the "Pride of Aloha" (Norwegian Cruise Line). It was a 7 days cruise where it went to each Island everyday. It would sail at night while you are asleep (well, sometimes it would start around evening) and arrive at the island in the morning. It would give you til the evening to get out and explore the island and have fun. I think it stopped on the big island for 2 days because there was more to explore there. The room was small but we were there only at night, and who cares how big the room is when you are sleeping!
They give you a program each day that lists all the daily activity including group activities, magical shows, opera, plays, concerts, BBQ parties, etc. etc. etc. So if you can't afford to go to expensive shore excursions, worry not, there is so much that you can do on the cruise. In our case, the food was included in the price, including the drinks and tips etc. So feel free to eat whatever you want, at whichever restaurants (they had casual as well as formal restaurants), and if you don't wanna leave your room, you can order food in the room 24/7 using the menu that's in your room. There's a little TV in your room that has a few channels and one of the channels is the camera that's in front of the ship so when it's sailing, you can watch it on TV and imagine titanic scene :D
I can go on and on and on. Oh, when you get off the ship, a lot of the places offered free shuttles from cruise to the shopping centers, malls, and other places. We loved every single minute of it and miss the experience so much and would love to go back!
If you want a girl's point of view, feel free to PM Mrs. Shikra and she will tell you everything about it. She loved it more than I did. Overall, it was great, we loved it, we miss it, we would do it again, and it was not boring at all, in fact, there were a few things that we missed!
Also, this holds true for NCL's Pride of Aloha, services may vary depending on the cruise lines. Feel free to PM me if you need more information.
