Crowd In Ancholi Nab Target Killer

Ancholi is a predominantly Shia neighborhood in Karachi. Yesterday they caught 2 men who were carrying weapons and wanted to carry out what seemed like yet another case of target killing. What is interesting to note is the speed at which Rangers and senior security officials came to scene in order to take out the nabbed target killers. As you can see in the following videos the residents were not so keen in letting go of the killer as they know that they are unlikely to hear anything further about them. It has come to a clear point in Pakistan where security agencies are not interested in what their primary job should be - which is to protect the civilians. Instead they either they are in state of confusion/divide hemselves OR they are direct partners in these crimes against civilians.

Here they are interrogating one of the man who says he is from Chakwal, Punjab: Facebook

Here is ARY News reporting on it

Re: Crowd In Ancholi Nab Target Killer

That is great, kuchh to dhulai howi in ki.... I wish people make vigilante squads who grab these idiots and throw them into "river" Lyari after initial dhulai.

Re: Crowd In Ancholi Nab Target Killer

If that were the police I'd have second you doubting their speed but its Rangers. And currently if someone is holding somewhat peace in the city its Rangers. All less target killing, snatching etc that you are seeing its all due to Rangers activities. You want hold their hands, be my guest!

Re: Crowd In Ancholi Nab Target Killer

^ rangers has become 1st tier of police, and police now the 2nd tier force... and it actually has become as corrupt as police, the only difference is that the rangers is non-political that is why you see 'relatively' more peace otherwise crimes are still going sky high.

Re: Crowd In Ancholi Nab Target Killer

^Agree regarding the performance of rangers. My point is to highlight clear gulf between security agencies and what should be their client that is the civilians. This might be as a result of how in past whenever a suspect or criminal is caught or handed over, no serious effort is made to communicate to victims the vital information which is their foremost right to know. Justice not only must be served by has to be 'seen' to be served (although in case of Pakistan I think both are missing). Secondly I have noted that whenever rangers/police arrive at crime spot then their behavior is rather void of empathy and compassion towards the victims or civilians in general.

Re: Crowd In Ancholi Nab Target Killer

how do they know they were actually "target killers?"

Re: Crowd In Ancholi Nab Target Killer

simple, the crowd saw a pistol sticking out of their back pocket.

quick arrival of the rangers/police on the scene indicates the possibility that they came to extricate them from the clutches of the unruly crowd only to release them later after a call from their political handlers. that's why the crowd was reluctant to hand them over to the police.

mob mentality often takes over and the truth gets lost. remember Sialkot brothers and Sarfaraz Shah cases.

God knows what the truth was.

Re: Crowd In Ancholi Nab Target Killer

Recently there's a trend in pak that if a mob catches theives, robbers or even suspect anyone of stealing and robbing, the end result is those suspects getting brutally killed by the hand of fierce mob. In fact 3+3 robbers were killed in the same fashion on two days last week in khi
Just shows where the society is moving to when they hv lost their confidence in govt.
