Crossaints

I love them! Full stop!!

Especially the ones full of butter and I know the consequences! But the more you resist them, the more you eat!

So i have decided to make them myself. Only problem is that I made a loaf of bread and after it came out the oven, I could taste the yeast in it.

Why can I taste it when I have had the product in the oven for the specified time? Will I be able to taste the yeast if i bake the crossaints myself?

Tips would be nice people!

maybe the yeast quantity is too much.

try puttin in less yeast as per the recipe

I like them too. No point in making them. They're so common now - just buy them at a local fresh bakery. Don't go for those stupid frozen ones. Fresh is best.

I don’t know about you but 80% shops in Europe sell Cossiants made with Animal Fat. So it require a care on our side.
