what do you mean by cross connection marriages?
if it is out of caste yes we do have marriages out of our own caste and it works so far.
Here, i know one guy who fall in love with gori, they got married after one or two year guy got religious influence and changed his lifestyle and surprisingly his gori wife also converted and now following islam better than rest of the muslim community.
I know one memon uncle, who got married 20/22 years ago, and I saw his wife too she also take proper islamic clothing and they have one son.
i know another uncle, who got married with gori too, but his lifestyle is not like us, they have one gal, and it is hard to predict what kind of religion shd had picked.
another incident, one paki gal fall in love with gora, she converted that gora to islam before nikkah, and after few month that marriage did not work and now divorced
I can not say any thing favorable in case of cross cultural marriages where two individual never known to the culture of other like pakistani and amreeki. unless one of them is badly fall down in love and willing to adopt new culture.
in pakistan, it works because most of us are well aware of at least one common language and know standard expectations of married life. but again that thing only work when two open minded families are in such weddings.
