Cross border firing between India and Pakistan related deaths.

Irrespective of who started it or who perpetrated it. It is very sad and it is pathetic. These are professionals not rouge groups. Anybody who is being adventurous and thinks that they can resolve the bigger issues by killing some people on the other side are morons not professionals. Professionals work on a plan to resolve issues. Either go for an all out war or go to dialogue table there is no third option here.

Please do not come in this thread and make a moronic statement that we will nuke India or India will nuke Pakistan it is not a reality on the ground and not possible either , if that was possible it would have happened already.
Nukes are there as a deterrent to make sure that it does not happen.

Is it a game for someone to just kill few people and escalate tension? Is killing few people going to resolve anything? I do not know who are those adventurous from any side but those in power should have the will and mechanism in place to stop it right now and make sure it does not happen again. People of both sides have suffered enough due to adventures of a few on both sides.

The conspiracy theorist would come up with theories like.

  1. This is a way for Moodi to divert the attention of Indian masses because he cannot deliver what he promised to Indian nation during his election campaign.
Mind you Moodi did not come to power on the war agenda with Pakistan or with an agenda of Akhand Bharat or to take the rest of the Kashmir from Pakistan.
He has been in power for a few months, he has not failed to deliver yet. He has 5 long years to deliver what he promised.
  2. Nawaz Shariff is escalating tension on border because he is facing so many problems in domestic politics. That cannot be true either. What problems none of the problems he is facing is big enough to start a rift on borders to divert the attention of people of Pakistan. Again he did not win election on the basis of Kashmir or bust or Crush India kind of agenda.
  3. Pak Army is doing it because they have lost popularity in Pakistan , that is not true either because right now by not intervening in the recent political circus in Pakistan they have won the hearts and minds of Pakistani nation as a whole.

Anyone has any logical explanation of these skirmishes?

Re: Cross border firing between India and Pakistan related deaths.

-lack of will on both sides...if there is a will, there is a way!
-trust deficit on both sides...trust is built on actions and NOT on words
-unrealistic demands from both sides...Kashmir is the sticking issue
-hatred for each other...we have to educate our masses to love humanity and do something for it
-terrorism or support for terrorism...both countries should mind their own business

This is ridiculous.

Re: Cross border firing between India and Pakistan related deaths.

Pasha sahib we all can read news. The thread is not about blaming who started it and who did what. It is about finding underlying reasons behind this recent escalation.
I would request mods to remove Pasha sahibs posts to keep the focus of this thread on topic.

Re: Cross border firing between India and Pakistan related deaths.

Thanks you Pasha sahib to save the thread from getting derailed , looks like I wrote a very long first post. People are not paying much attention to it.

Re: Cross border firing between India and Pakistan related deaths.

I am also wondering that whenever we see some dialogue between these countries suddenly we got some problem on our borders. KKF is right upto some extent but outside Pakistan I have seen many Pakistanis and Indians who have very nice relationship and don't have hatred with each other.

I also think that War is not the solution of the problem and only continuous dialogues are the only solution.

Re: Cross border firing between India and Pakistan related deaths.

Actually you have written a very detailed thread and most of the people love to discuss conspiracy theories so they are not getting any Mirch Masala in this thread. But indeed its a very good thread as I am a silent reader of PA and after many months I am here to post.

If you want some posters to post in your thread just delete points 1 to 3.

Re: Cross border firing between India and Pakistan related deaths.

Oh, it’s not the length that’s the problem, Mirch, it’s the breath. Eight people died yesterday just because they came to listen to others speak, two got in an accident and perished while traveling to Islamabad for Azadi March on 14 August, two were killed last year on the eve of elections in a far off village because they wanted to vote PTI, and one was shot in the face by a security guard in Defence Lahore.

Your thread is great, but so much goes on in Pakistan in one day, things tend to get lost in transition.

Or maybe Howzat is right, it lacks spice. Maybe you can try peppering Modi with some choice words, and we can get some of our Indian friends in to comment. But point remains, life isn’t worth much these days, not just in Pakistan but the world. That probably has been the case since time eternal, but hey, whose keeping tabs, right?

Re: Cross border firing between India and Pakistan related deaths.

Long discussion in English is not possible for me but I was trying to keep it moving so more and more could see it . It is a technicality , I learned here .
It is a good thread but we like bashing only

Re: Cross border firing between India and Pakistan related deaths.

Ha, thank you! :hugz: We haven’t had the pleasure to talk or interact much here, but I’ve of course read your posts, and they’re always insightful and illuminating. And well, if you like my line of thinking, I’d wager your outlook on life isn’t much different either, and that’s doubly great.

I’m a bit of a romantic when it comes to things like these. :arzi: God’s green earth, all life sacred (except for the chickens that go into my chicken nuggets, can’t live without those), and everyone equal, that type of stuff. Sadly there are wolves that govern us, and not just in Pakistan, the world over. The world will get better one day, of that I’m sure, humanity as a whole will eventually improve. It already is in some aspects.

Then incidents like this cross border firing and shelling will be a footnote in history. Long way to go, I know, but that’s no reason to lose hope, now is it?
