Crocodile eyes!! :'(

Salaam!
I have this really wierd problem, my iris color changes in different light settings. Sometimes its golden-ish sometimes green-ish and mostly light hazel but If anyone takes pictures with the flash on they turn out grey-ish and zombie-looking!!! Its really annoying because I look horrible in photographs and makeup :crying: my mum never let me use it before so I didn’t get to experiment much and now that I’v finally gotten “old enough” to try makeup, IT LOOKS HIDEOUS!!!
Does anyone else have this issue? And if so what’s the solution? I can only use black eyeliner without looking like I’m popping contact lenses between sunlight and indoors..but its so boring!!! Once I wore blue liner to my school play and a guy said my reptilian eyes were freaking him out! :teary1:
Please help?

Re: Crocodile eyes!! :'(

I have a problem with no bright happy makeup suiting a pair of chameleon eyes. And I moved here a while ago but have yet to get any compliments....Where are the colored-eye loving desis???
All I got was Neeli peeli aankhonn walay bara bey-wafa howtay hain and I doubt that falls under admiration :(
Please please please help makeup experts?

Re: Crocodile eyes!! :'(

maybe you can post a pic of just your eyes and then that can help people here see which eye shadow colors would look good on your eyes. if you really need advice then that can be an option. or do a google search on desi women that have a similar eye color and see what type of make up they have on....I guess

Re: Crocodile eyes!! :'(

I have green/ hazel eyes, that sometimes even look pale yellow and I know what a challenge "matching" eye make up can be, but now I know what works. On a daily basis I use a soft brown or an olive green pencil to line and use dark brown mascara. Black looks a little too harsh i feel. For going out i like using earthy colours ... olive greens, mustards, browns and ever dusky pinks. Colours that compliment my eyes. Also Urban Decay has some fun pencil colours that can make eyes "pop" if that is what i am in the mood for .. its called "flipside".

Enjoy your eyes, I always get compliments from non- desis, desis always want to know what colour contacts i am wearing ..:)

Re: Crocodile eyes!! :'(

a couple people in my family have light eyes, my cousin has hazel eyes but she really doesn't wear too much eye shadow, just kajal and mascara and she looks gorgeous.

i'm pretty sure you would look beautiful with just kajal/mascara on too.

Re: Crocodile eyes!!

**Eye Shadow **When you are talking about eye shadows and you are talking about hazel eyes, green really is the best way to go. the color green can help your eyes look more vibrant and a lot more alive. In any case, hazel eyes come pretty close to the color green and using a green eye shadow is really not the worst thing to do. Nonetheless, if you are not too sure about the color green to serve the purpose of an eye shadow, you can feel free to play it safe with varying shades of brown. Make it a point, however, to not go overboard with the eye shadow, because even too much of a good thing can be bad! for best results with your eye shadow, you can use a light tone of brown or less of a darker tone of brown.

Re: Crocodile eyes!!

Thanks Nisha!! :bulbuli: I read somewhere to avoid matching eyeshadows with eye color and to go with contrasting shades like blue/brown, pink/green but it never worked out when i wore pink or blue! In fact one forum suggested hot pink…and…let me just say that was NOT a good idea. Ill try green and see how it goes!:hugz: :phati:

Re: Crocodile eyes!! :'(

Nene, you have beautiful eyes Mash'Allah! Try googling Mila Kunis she has a similar color, she mostly wears smudged out eyeliner, so the liner and shadow is less harsh.
