Criminals

So how much distance would you maintain from someone who has committed some kind of crime ?
What about someone who was born out of a wedlock ? That person had nothing to do with the crime of his/her parents would you be friends to such a person ?
What about the family of a criminal ? They had nothing to do with the crime of their loved ones but in our society they still get punished and turned into an outcast.

Re: Criminals

In first era of ppp in pakistan many known criminal were released. One of the two brothers who had killed a man in a street fight was also released.

But on more serious note: call me stupid but I wont fear a criminal too much who is been in jail for over hmmmmmmm 8-10 years and then released.
Reason I have visited jails, and spoke to those ppl. The crave freedom.

Plus ppl on death row are no less then saints!!!!!!

I agree , the criminals dont suffer as much as their families do .. In Pakistan, people distance themselves from such families for they are taught a man is known by the company he keeps ... from fear of embarassment they keep away..

i wud be cautious but not scared cuz may be they have changed.

and being born isnt a crime :D no matter if ur born to a married couple or unmarried

Re: Criminals

Putting it very honestly, I would keep my family away from some ex-criminal. It is human instinct to protect the dear ones from any and all risks. Although the person might have reformed 100%, but nobody would take that chance. This is sad but true.

I wont lie, I wouldnt want my sisters, mother, wife or any close relative interacting with the family of a criminal, I wouldnt want them to be associated with that family because they might get into some sort of trouble. If the criminal goes berzerk again, I wouldnt want my family to be anywhere near him.

It shouldn't be that way and we should be more accepting. Such is human psychology.

:hmmm: That is a good boy.
What if the criminal is not a violent criminal and family had nothing to do with his/her crime. For example a pick pocket, a petty thief, a drug addict , a petty drug dealer are not that kind of a menace to the society and the family.

:hehe:

The ladies who work at my house back in Pakistan, one of them has a drug addict son, drug addicts are known for petty theft as well. Doesn’t really bother me. The poor guy was trying to get rid of drugs, we helped him as much as we could. We had him clean the fans, water tank, trim the plants, whatever he could. He is doing much better actually.

Drug dealer, hell no! Such criminals, no matter how small scale, are a part of a network. I wouldnt want any member of my family exposed to any risk from such networks.
