Anyone in the UK watch Crimewatch tonight ?

They showed the case of an “honour killing” where a husband strangled his wife to death in front of their 3 children because she wanted a separation. The man is on the run, and is suspected to be in Pakistan.

They also showed past cases of honour killings, and set up a hotline especially for Asians who need help with cases of “honour violence” (forced marriages etc).

I heard about this tragedy on the radio, i hope they find the ******** and sentence him to death.

Curious, if white people do the exact same thing, y isnt it called honour killing?

They cant find Bin Laden in that part of the world, what chance do they have of finding an ordinary person.

The sick thing is that once he killed his wife he told his kids to put their hand on the Quran and swear they wouldnt tell anyone. And when they refused, he grabbed one of them and threatened to kill her aswell.

Afridi maybe because with whites a divorce demand would not shatter the ego of the man, for most of these pakistani men its all a matter of ego and some twisted sense of honour. I don;t know how rampant honour killings are in other nations thats why i only mentioned pakistani men.

I wish they’d stop doing these things and giving us all a bad name.

If she doesn’t fancy you fair enough divorce her, I hate the ‘my wife is my property’ mentality, divorce her then she wont be your honour anymore. :rolleyes:

and the other things where ppl are killing their cousins, sisters, nieces etc because they decided to say no to the bloke the family was trying to hook them up with.

These ppl had the same mindset in their pinds in Pakistan, and when transplanted over to UK they brought the same mindset with them. Their kind would be out of place in pakistani cities let alone UK.
