Once again your frustration is showing up and Saching bashing has started. If that is not enough have a look at the scores of Andrew Symonds and Inzamam ul Haq in the previous game.
But Inzamam is not the BEST batsman EVER. He is the best Pakistani batsman ONLY. Unlike claims by MOST indians that Sachin is the best thing that ever happened to cricket since Action Replay.
India's last five wickets produced 35 runs whereas Holland's last five made 92. Although India has a strong top order, their tail is a bit too long if Harbhajan comes in at number 8. It will even get longer if they play Patel as a genuine keeper. Just some thoughts.
That'll be a big game on Saturday. I don't rate India's chances as very high though unless Sachin has an outstanding match. Even then that might not be enough.
One thing that I don't understand is India's batting line-up strategy. At one hand, they claim to be the best batting side that includes world class batsmen as Tendulkar, Ganguly, Dravid and flambouyant Sehwag. And on the other hand, they wana have Seven batsmen. If they have so much confidence in the top order, why play with 7 batsmen?. Why not have a genuine keeper?. I don't think Ganguly is needed anymore. He should be replaced with Parthiv Patel. Openers should be Sehwag and Tendulkar. Sehwag hit two centuries against the kiwis and he gets demoted to number 3 ??. I am all for Sachin as opener but not on Sehwag's expense. I think Ganguly should come down the order, if at all.
Indian batting also disappointed :(. I was gonna say Asian teams are'nt able to score good in SA but then Sri Lanka's score of 272 against NZ stopped me (for WC).
Pathetic batting by Indian Team. I wont blame our bowlers, they bowled very well. Shashtri said 125, they bowled Holland out for 136, not bad considering last few wickets of Holland didn't take many chances and were happy at scoring1-2 runs every over.
Funguy - Indian batting depth is hyped by media since England tour where we chased 325 after being 145/5. Sachin,Shewagh, Dravid, Yuvraj, Kaif, Ganguly, Mongia are all recognized batsmen and that's why our batting is supposed to have depth. Dravid is doing fine as a keeper. What is the guarantee that a genuine keeper wont drop catches (South WK dropped 2 catches today) ? If there is anyone who should not be playing next game then it is GANGULY and Bangar should play.

I think Holland would've put up a better fight against Aus than India will.
Look for a royal beating with Aus scoring +300 runs if they bat first and bowling India out for 100. Or if India bats first, look for India to get bowled out for 100 and Aus to finish the match off in < 20 overs.
That brings me to the question :
Should a CAPTAIN be guaranteed a place in the side just because he has been appointed the team CAPTAIN for the tournament.
I would seriously consider GANGULY being replaced with BANGAR but I know that India's team management is not particularly known to make such radical decisions . So we have to live with Ganguly's pathetic batting for the rest of the tournament. If GANGULY has the nation's interest at heart, he should excuse himself from the team. But I do not see that happening too.
In these cirumstances, I think its best that Ganguly come to bat lower down the order after KAIF and YUVRAJ so that he does not have to deal with pressures of the early overs.
Talking about KAIF, I think its time to have a second look at his position in the team also. India cannot continue to play him on the basis of one solid performance 6 months ago in the NATWEST trophy final. He has hardly contributed with the bat since.
