Cricket World Cup 2003---> Pool A

bloody $hit-heads, pathetic losers, drunkards, who dont deserve the respect and support so many of their fans give them. They should all just die. From this day forth, I'm going to stop watching cricket.

Why don't you go and take Shoaib's spot on the team? Or do you prefer batting? Then you can replace Afridi. Surely you will bring the spoils home.

for God's sake. Give Pakistani team a break. They played really well. You can't say they didn't try.
And all those indians who're saying, oh, india won all 4 mathes against Pak in WC can kiss my back.

the match..

Well Pakistan did played well but i think there was one person who had to settle some scores with Paki bowlers. Many a times Tendulkar was said to have left the matches in between, people were saying that he doesn't finshes up the games and some of the idiots were even comparing Sachin with Inzi, Lara, Steve waugh..Yesterday's match goes in a long way to show that there's no one other than Sachin on the top. If you say Paki bowling was bad, no, Tendulkar made it bad. Especially Akhtar, this guy just talks, off course he got some wickets but being fastest doesn't means anything. Also giving Sachin a golden ducks doesn't means you can get Sachin all the time.

Well the moment has come. sachin's here in this world cup to prove a point that he's the only one..

laterz..

Very well said, before I had doubts about him. I said he couldn't win in pressure situations and couldn't bat against big teams, but he proved me wrong.
Before I compared him with Brian Lara, Steve Waugh but he is way above them, the only man comes to mind who is as good as Sachin is Viv Richrads. Others are way below him.

Eventhough Pakistan lost, that was the greatest cricket innings ever played by a batsman.

Most of my Indian friends recall Miandad sixer in Sharjah as the most painful memory for every Indian, for me Sachin's inning was the most painful, even worst the the 99 WC final.

Figures provided by the International Cricket Council showed that if Zimbabwe batted first and scored 200 runs, Waqar Younis's side would have to reach the total in 13.2 overs to get through.

If Pakistan batted first and made 250, they would then need to dismiss their opponents for 62 or less.

What an amazing game - that will probably be the best game of the World Cup - what a finish from Michael Bevan and Andy Bichel (as if he hadn’t done enough anyway by taking 7 wickets for just 20 runs!)

I mean where the hell do I start with that match? It was a good start by England putting 66 on the board without the loss of a wicket but then somewhat lost the plot when Andy Bichel took the ball - great match for him - undobtedly deserved the Man Of The Match award. Then, Enlgnad fell to pieces - but Alec Stewart and Andrew Flintoff put some respectability on the scorecard - but stil not a big score at all.

But then for some reason Australia lost early wickets yet again when chasing a low total (the complacency factor kicking in again) and had to rely on Michael Bevan to see the innings through yet again! Mind you Australia did get a dodgy LBW decision against Damien Martyn.

**Andy Bichel also performed with the bat too - a good knock of 34 from just 36 helping Australia to their 12th consecutive One Day win - a new World Record. ** :k:

I think people would have thought that the West Indian record (set 19 years ago) would have never been broken but it has been - admittedly not Australia’s best ever performance but they have managed to dig the result out which may in some ways be better - as its great to win matches with 40 overs to spare and hit 300 odd runs but sometimes you need to win those scrapy games by the odd wicket or odd run with a few balls to spare.

As for England well that match won’t have done them too much harm - it does give Pakistan a chance of qualifying which will give England a chance to qualify yet. And Enlgland didn’t get beaten badly at all - it was very close, therefore, if Pakistan now beats Zimbabwe (thrash them), it could replace England, and qualify for the Super Sixes.

Man, this is turned out to be hell of a World Cup ever!

Australia should go in with 4 strike bowlers, since they don't have Warne anymore, they are one bowler short. Brad Hogg, Andrew Symonds, and Ian Harvey are bowlers waiting to be hit.
Ricky Ponting should keep Bichel for the rest of the tournament in place for Symonds or Hogg, I prefer Hogg over Symonds, the only spinner in the team.

The clash of the minnows, Namibia V Holland today. One of them will at least get 4 points.

Great performance by Netherlands. :k: Noortwijk & Kloppenburg scored Century.

GO HOLLAND GO!!!

LOL... virtually all of the Namibian team have Dutch names... they are clearly throwing the match out of loyalty to their original state :p

Must be a helluva batting track. Both Namibia and Zimbabwe have posted totals of 300 in this WC. I hope our batsmen are watching..

yeah right! thats the Pak team…they dont watch nobody…cuz woh tu khud aalim faazil hein na:rolleyes:

Actually they should not watch anybody, they should watch themselves play stupid shots, stupid runouts, stupid wides, no-balls etc. and so perhaps learn something.
